Peraza a non-lefty hitter who pounds low and in pitches after baiting the pitchers when he gets a lot of hits to RF.

Maybe last year was the fluke season and 2016 and 18 are the real Peraza seasons?

1-1 after 1, Harvey gave up a pair of doubles.

Hate to agree with Thom but I was just going to say too that Ervin should have been in the lineup in this game.

2-1 Nats, great throw by Billy to almost get the runner at home.

mhs95_06
08-04-2018, 07:42 PM
He also gave up 2nd base to the hitter by going all out to get the out at home. I like his throw to 22nd better in the first that just missed the runner who scored the first run who had ripped a drive off the CF wall that Billy played perfectly off the wall.

Harvey and the Reds defense need to win their first inning of the game.

Harvey fails to throw strikes on the last two pitches to Soto and walks him with 2 out, and then some more shoddy defense(P Tucker much worse than Duvall in LF) and the Nats get their 4th straight single run.

Me also! The most unfair aspect of umpiring. The difference between 1-1 & 2-0 and 3-1 or 2-2 is massive, and hitters who have the strike zone mastered are being abused badly, as well as pitchers being able to take advantage of umpires weak spots to gain an unfair advantage!

The point was why penalize the Nats, they haven't hit any more Reds than the Reds have hit the Nats. Then I got into the rhetorical question of why penalize someone who has better control? Shouldn't he be able to use his control to his advantage while not putting anyone on the other team at more risk than they are by pitchers with bad control?
