Hopefully they stop swinging for HR. They struggle scoring in large parks.

Reds 17 hits and 9 runs

Enjoy.

Sorry Noah.

If I hear the phrase "Happy Feet" when Hamilton's batting/on the basepaths, I'm changing the channel. (That was the main reason I was hoping for a Billy trade to Cleveland.)

Homer would have to be one of the worst signings in the history of sports no? Top 5 at least?
I can't think of an athlete being paid that much, only to suck so bad. And that's when he even plays.
Homer would have been worth more to the franchise if he just never pitched a game and retired.

Since no one is bothering with the score other than complaints and the getting tired old jokes about Homer, I went to ESPN website to get more info. Complain what you will about Homer but if you don't score any runs it really doesn't matter how many runs the pitching gives up.

Someone needs to tell the FO that its a 162 game season and an outfield of Tucker, Williams and Hamilton won't cut it.

Not many teams can stand the loss of two .800+ OPS outfielders.

I would probably move on from Tucker in fairly short order though, just not a ton of upside in giving him playing time. Apparently they want to try Dilson out there.

So let's just give Bailey a mulligan for his entire career?
He was a decent #4 at best in his prime. And for some reason the Reds gave him a $102 Million Dollar deal over 6 years.
Why? Because he threw 2 no hitters vs the Pirates? Who were about as good as the '88 Braves back then.

He fouled off a bunch with a 1-2 count, most of which were good borderline strikes, most just out of the strike zone, but he was in a bind still with only one ball. Which is why it was really imperative to trade high-value assets at the deadline and restock.

If they don't spend HEAVILY this offseason on FA pitchers, we're looking at the same results in 2019.
