He is a AA player who was only called up because he was already on the 40-man roster. He's here only as an emergency bat and for extra OF depth.

Aquino down. No surprise there. He was only here for an emergency. Which shows you the state of the Reds farm system.

Yes, now that Schebler has returned and Aquino is already gone, Dixon is a distinct possibility to be sent down when Votto returns. I think the Reds would prefer to have two backup infielders on the bench, but Ervin and Williams have both played too well to be sent down, and Herrera is out of options. I suppose Preston Tucker could also be the choice to be sent down.

The other possibility is that the Reds might send down a pitcher to make room for Votto, and go with 12 pitchers until the rosters can be expanded on September 1.
