Schebler hitting leadoff worked, but he got hurt so we need to try Billy hitting leadoff for the 11th thousand time.

Sucks having a 0 at the top of the order but as a recent Schebler owner in fantasy, I love him hitting at 5.

Schebler in the 1 spot worked because Votto, Duvall, and Winker were lower in the lineup to give a threat of thump. Without them there, Scheb is one of the better power options and makes sense lower down,.

Agreed. I would rather see Dixon or Herrera there.

Maybe start Herrera, and bring in Dixon for defensive purposes.

Damned if they do, damned if they don't at this point. They need a qualified hitter to bat 1st and they need a qualified hitter to protect Suarez. I'm surprised Suarez isn't walked in half of his PA's.

Dixon shouldn't be on this team.

Scooter should have been playing 1st as soon as Votto hit the D.L. Herrera should have been at 2nd. Dixon is terrible and should not be on a major league team.

Herrera has more experience at 1B than Scooter.

If we're going to start chopping heads that don't belong, we aren't going to be able to field a team.

The extent of that “more experience” is the one inning they gave Herrera at first base in a blowout a few weeks ago. He’s literally played no 1B besides that.

Quiñones hit 12 HR's in 1989 when Larkin and Sabo missed a good portion of the season, and Oester was just returning from his horrendous knee injury. (He played 53 games at 2B, 50 at 3B, & 5 at SS.)

Luis hit 1 HR for the Reds in 1988, 12 in 1989, 2 in 1990, and 4 in 1991.

You have a manager that doesn’t have a clue in managing a bullpen!! You have Hernandez warming up along with Iglesias and you bring Iglesias out for a 4 out save! What?? You can’t trust Hernandez to get the be out!! What a slap in face to Hernandez. That did not make any sense! In fact bringing out Peralta in the 8th was a stupid move! Hernandez with a 2.13 Era and you put in Peralta! Two stupid moves within an inning!!

I get the frustration and point with Peralta. The other decision could have just been based on matchups. Riggleman has done some head scratchers, for the most part his quick hook and working the bullpen has worked out.

My question to you, was there a need for Iglesias to go out in the 8th while Hernandez was already warmed up? That to me is a head scratcher!! Never mind the fact Hernandez didn’t go out for 8th inning. Hitters are hitting below .200 against Hernandez so matchups shouldn’t have been an issue.

'69

Without going through the matchups it's not a slam dunk it was the wrong call. Hernandez had a recent run of coming in and promply giving up HRs also.

Without going through the matchups it's not a slam dunk it was the wrong call. Hernandez had a recent run of coming in and promply giving up HRs also. it's not like Hughes isn't giving up HRs on a daily basis and he uses him almost every day. Bringing in Iglesias was a slap in the face to a guy who has been lights out 85%-90% of of the time. And let's not even talk about Peralta who's performances have been completely awful! Yea I would say it was a slam dunk wrong call.
