Nice to know that.

Yet another example that this is a Mickey Mouse organization. I don't know why I even bother with them anymore.

That grand slam by Votto which could have broken the Reds season record doesn't officially count as it was hit before the game was to officially start! Fans who bought tickets arriving on time for the scheduled game didn't have a chance to see it in person.

Tom Servo

Obviously small sample size but uh, I think last night and today are a good reminder of what we saw earlier in the season, that batting Schebler at the top and Billy at the bottom of the order is the way to go.

I guess Votto got tired of all the rumblings about no HR since the all star break?
I actually did notice him swinging harder in his last 2 at bats yesterday. I think he has been trying to hit the ball out of the ball park recently.
And who knew it would be a slam? lol
Truly a historic season when it comes to the grand salami.
They are like fingers around here....we all have 10 or 12.

The ONLY reason I can see not trading Harvey is maybe he has told the Reds he wants to sign.
And the Reds think they can ink him for around $5 Million.
The same with Scooter. If the Reds do not think they can sign him to a 2-3 year club friendly deal, he has no business being a Red right now.

NebraskaRed

Harvey seems to always have one bad inning. That may not be exactly accurate, but it seems that way just like it always seemed that Bronson had one really bad inning.

Ron Madden

2 runs in 5 innings was significantly different than the 3 runs in 5 innings they got from Bailey his last time out?

They're a different club when they score 7 runs in an inning.

Reds come alive with competent pitching. Not sure Homer Bailey qualifies this year, even with a couple of good innings.

I've seen this a lot lately in football, NASCAR/auto racing, etc. I didn't know, but I'm not in Cincinnati. It should have been publicized everywhere--TV, radio, social media, all over. Didn't notice anything.

Harvey looked good today. I hasten to say this, but he has become our best starter. Signing him might be impossible, but the rest of the SP cast is less than impressive. Obtaining good proven starting pitching should be at the top of the list for the off season, but it won't.

Somehow, I believe they will play some more, but the radar looks bad.
