2 singles and 3 Ks in the first for Castillo. Lots of 98s. Free pizza is a definite possibility.

that dude in the crowd who tried to swipe the ball away from Puig was lucky he didn't interfere with a home run or bases clearing double

The announcer who shall not be named gets on his soapbox about how Castillo and the young pitchers need to work through adversity, but is interrupted mid-sentence by Jim Riggleman who makes a pitching change.
SI has an article on line entitled The Reds and Scooter Gennett Are Absolutely Torturing the Dodgers This Year.
Check it out.
Gennett had 14 hits against LA coming into tonight, a record for four games against one team. Has another hit and walk tonight.

Is that a bat logo on Ervin’s bat?

Yes Chris Welsh....Hernandez facing a lefty is better than Peralta facing a lefty or basically anyone
Heck of an outing by Hernandez. This has the feel of a Major League Baseball game.

Why is the Reds' broadcaster yelling, "How?!", over and over again?

Literally same question, what a bizarre way to end your telecast.

Castillo was excellent tonight!
I'm very excited about next season's rotation.
I think Castillo will only get better and could win 15 games, having Disco healthy from Spring Training to October is huge, I expect Mahle to end up being a solid #3, Romano will only get better, and Cody Reed looks like a completely different pitcher. His slider looks great.
If the Reds had hired Joe Blow as manager after last season, or aka anyone but Bryan Price, I actually think they would have fought with the Brewers, Cubs, and Cards for the Division. Maybe not won it but they would have been over .500 with a respectable season.

With this win, the Reds will not lose 100 games. Little things. 60-64 under Riggleman.

Machado is quite elite defensively
^^^VERY TRUE^^^
Last night Thom was actually talking about how bad Machado had been defensively since joining the Dodgers. I just laughed.....HARD. lol
He is probably the smoothest fielding infielder in MLB. He and Arenado.

Practicing for karaoke - LaGrange by ZZ Top is his jam!

Reds will go for the season sweep of the Dodgers today at 12:30. If this were the 70's or 80's I would be on cloud 9 about that. But they played 18 times a year back then not 7 as in 21st century baseball.

No, he's already tipped his hand as to his playlist: Culture Club, A Flock of Seagulls, Kajagoogoo, The Human League, Big Country, The Thompson Twins, and Frankie Goes to Hollywood. There's no way he listens to anything as kick-ass as ZZ Top!
