Reds will be facing Cole Hamels, a pitcher that they have not have a lot of success with. Hamels is 11-1 lifetime against Cincinnati, with a 1.86 ERA. Interesting Hamels trivia: In five starts against the White Sox, Cole has struck out 37 batters, and walked just 1. No current Red has gone deep against Hamels. He has allowed 6 lifetime home runs to Cincinnati hitters. All of them had the letter "J" in their name. Jay Bruce (2), Jeff Conine, Jonny Gomes, Jerry Hairston and Ivan de Jesus.

Lots of reasons to watch the Reds the next two weeks.
Will Gennett win batting title?
Will Suarez win RBI crown?
Will Peraza finish with more home runs and extra base hits than Votto?

Cubs threatening against Hernandez. Tough error on Suarez, DP grounder took a bad hop.

First and third, one out, bottom 7, Reds 2-0.

3-2 Cubs on Happ homer. Oh, well.

The Reds took Tyler Stephenson at #11 in the 2015 draft. Walker Buehler went 24th to the Dodgers. The Reds could have had him. Buehler has an ERA less than 3.00 in the majors, while Stephenson is still in the Minors.

Strange substitution....having Barnhart hitting for Lorenzen. Lorenzen is a faster runner, and probably a better hitter.

Good guy, and thank God he made us forget somewhat about the Price disaster, but I think I've seen enough of Riggs.
