With the excitement building for tonights game here are the lineups. We have Deuling Herrara's tonight. That should set RZ aflame!

$6 tickets + hopefully good weather = good evening.

I'll just pretend the game means something.

I think there is around a 50/50 chance the Reds will score ten or more runs the rest of the season.

Peraza hits his 14th homer. Who would have thunk it.

+2 over Votto. No one could have imagined that. Chalk one up for scouting and coaching and hard work triumphing over predictive analytics. Not that I’m against analytics.

I never get this thing where the Reds broadcasters (and you see some fans echo it as well) act like basic baseball moves like hiring a manager is this Herculean task and undertaking.

Just 31.5 innings remaining to this season assuming no extra inning games.

2 out error by Peraza (almost recovered but we know what almost only counts in) and then Wisler gives up a rocket RBI double to this jabroni pitcher.

Just bad baseball.

How on earth is the ball Mondesi hit out to Dilson in left a triple?!?!?!?!?!?!?????
This is the major leagues. I don't care if you have never played the outfield in your life.
That ball HAS TO BE CAUGHT.
100% E7 all the way. Without question.
That puts an earned run on Sal's stat line. Ridiculous.

I'm sad that Larkin came out and said he is not interested in managing. He was my #1 choice.
It's amazing how Dusty Baker spoils franchises & fan bases into thinking not winning in the Playoffs is not good enough.
Dusty takes the Giants, Cubs, Reds, and Nats to Playoffs over and over again only to keep getting fired. lol
Division Championships and Wild Card berths aren't good enough until you are sitting at home in October like the Reds and Nats are.
I can only imagine how the Nats fans feel about Dave Martinez.
He was handed the same exact team as Dusty had (+Soto) and can barely break .500

Starting to think Peraza hits every single pitcher the same way and Votto/Scooter/Suarez seem to hit the good/been around pitchers.

Suarez and Scooter seem very tired. Be nice to finish last few games about 5/10

On the cusp of five straight losses to the Marlins and Royals. A lot of quit in this franchise.

I think in baseball more than any other sport fans do appreciate the skill of managers for their actual managing people skills.

I believe it is the managing of people was Dusty's greatest skill. It is not something you can see with stats. It is managing people between the ears and not between the lines. Dusty was not the best at on the field decisions but seemed to be great at managing the clubhouse. Managing the clubhouse is huge because players are together basically everyday from march to September. I think keeping moral up, keeping the team motivated and keeping conflicts to a minimum are huge for a manager.

Dusty teams never has the malaise around it as other managers

Thom with a few parting shots, albeit guarded, on Votto before he calls it a year.

20 runs in the last 14 games. 5 straight losses. I'm guessing the players did not get that memo on Positive Momentum.

I had free tickets to this game. Good seats too. I just didn’t have any interest to go watch a lot of bad baseball.

It's called positive momentum, still fighting for that better draft selection.

I just shake my head. All those good drafts and promises of a revival of the Reds, were lies. They fired Dsuty Baker, hired Bryan Price, traded Mike Leake and Johnny Cueto for so many arms that have proven to be fodder, brought up sterling prospect after prospect pitcher, only to see them fail, gave Homer Bailey a number one contract to a number five starter, fired Price and gave the keys to the Pinto to Jim Riggleman, and kept losing for five years. If this wasn't so tragic, I might laugh out loud, but I'm not laughing. This incompetent bunch has ruined five summers for me. We went from a 90-win club to a 60-some club with poor decisions and laughable decisions. Why are any of us following at this point? Emotional environment. And I don't see it getting any better with the FO we have.
