Farmer is making quite the case to be the Util guy. Although Joe says not so fast with another double....

Brewers announcers said they are starting Tomlin because they need to make decision on him early, due to a contract provision. Tomlin is making it a easy decision.

The game will be on MLBN following the Phillies vs Twins game.
That game is in the top of the 8th inning.
They will show the Reds game in its entirety

OK, on the second homer, his inexperience did show... that ball probably was catchable...

I know it’s spring and yada yada, but is anybody worried about this pitching staff yet? So far it’s been a lot of the more things change, the more they stay the same. Outside of Mahle the other day, our graduated former pitching prospects have been shellacked.

I never stopped worrying about the pitching staff. They need another bankable starter and a late inning lefty to be taken as a serious play-off contender IMO. 230 or so better innings than what they have pushing the two worst guys off the roster.

His last 'double' was misplayed, fwiw. Point still stands though, and I think he's looked pretty comfortable in center.

I have no clue why Graterol is seeing so much playing time. He is lacking both defensively and offensively.

I am seeing no reports of Senzel being out of place or lost in CF, and he’s hitting like we’ve seen before. Whether he starts with the club or comes up after service time games, if he really can stick in CF this team has a real chance to surprise.

Not worried about the starters this early. Castillo looked awful his last start and so did Wood, but Disco has a 0.00 ERA as does Mahle, Roark sits at 3.86. And I Disco and Mahle have more innings than the others at a whopping 3.

I hope Iglesias isn’t the answer to any question that arises during the season but he does look serviceable I think

If I were somebody important and knew that Knebel and Hader were gonna throw today I woulda made Votto, Gennett, etc on the bus ride to pinch hit late....maybe it’s too early in the spring but nonetheless I want them seeing those guys as much as possible

Alfredo Rodriguez has not impressed in the few games he’s played in so far this spring, especially in the field. He’s not made some plays that a good SS needs to make. However, he looks better at the plate than I was expecting. Not good, but not as clueless as his minor league numbers would indicate.
