Sonny Gray pitching for the Reds to Manny Machado batting for the Padres is a sentence you didn't expect to see 6 months ago

Farmer quietly having a strong spring with the bat.

Hits an RBI triple, driving in Iglesias.

1-0 Reds

Gray giving up a hit but no runs in 2 innings. That'll do.

Reds win the Sonny Gray trade and the entire off season. Clearing my October schedule.

(Okay, maybe a little over enthusiastic)

hey, as we all know, that could have gone very badly. Let's go ahead and call him a Cy Young candidate now

Yes, its spring training but when you watch these guys who dont have a chance just coming in a blowing a lead.......

Also seems like other than a few games we score 2 runs or less and strikeout 10 times a game

It should be about time that Bell leaves the guys with a real chance to be on the Opening Day roster in the games a little bit longer.

Puig flat manufactured a run in this one - looked like a ground single to left center instead he hustled and took second after a proper read of the ball as he rounded first. Took third on a wild pitch and scored on a sac fly. Nice sequence.

He did but he was pretty much facing guys with no shot to open the year in the major leagues. Ditto for the pitchers the Pads touched up for all of their runs.
