Surprised there was no thread...but a game with no TV....

Disco is killing it thru 3. No hits or walks (or runs), Reds up 1-0. Schebler on base with BB and HBP scores only run on Trahan single.

7 K’s in 5 innings for Disco

How sweet it will be if he’s back to himself this year.

Just noticed no DH for Reds. Rangers are using one.

Disco, Roark, Mahle, and Gray have been having a very good spring. That makes me very hopeful for this season.

Really, Castillo has not looked great, and who know what's happening with Wood, otherwise this rotation is exciting.

Reds made a bunch of defensive changes in the 6th inning.

I didn’t catch all the changes

Lorenzen now in CF, and misplays a single into a triple in his first chance.

Iglesias was pitching and following the triple (or "triple") he gave up a double. 5-2. Every position except Trahan got substituted. Miles Gordon os playing. I suspect it's his first time ever.

Typical crowd today unlike last night's standing room only- and barely that- Dodger's 'home' game. There was so much blue in the stands it looked like a Cubs visit to GABP. Vendors were unprepared for the ensuing chaos as we waited in line 2-1/2 innings to get our food...craziness.

Anywho-

Disco threw really well. Other than one pitch he grooved for a HR, he seemed really sharp.

Several balls held in the park by a stiff breeze blowing in from center and at times from right to left.

The wind didn't slow Ervin down who 'settled' for a 3-run homer, just missing a grand slam after a perfect seed to the plate by the Rangers' CFer to nail Scooter at home.

Tucker's 'bomb' was opposite field, barely clearing the wall- thought it was a double. Lorenzen's questionable dive in CF cost them a run.

We all have a good idea what the offense will be. And while it's tough to put any faith in spring training results, save for Castillo- and who doesn't believe he'll come around- the starting pitching has been impressive of late.

Enjoying the signs of better days ahead.
