Other than Gray instead of Castillo, I think this is the best line-up they could run out there until Senzel hits the scene. When he does, I'd lead him off and push the others all down one spot with Schebler hitting the bench. I might use Casali against LHP. other than that, that group would be the regular group. Dietrich is the main bench bat. I'd try to move Schebler for bullpen help

Bad timing for the Reds. The big comeback for the Braves last Saturday snapping a four game losing streak have provided positive momentum. It's going to take a very good game from Sonny turn the tide. Reds went to LA right after the Dodgers had ended a six game losing streak. Timing means something.

I’m in no way complaining about this lineup because I don’t know if it really matters.

But I thought I heard or read somewhere that Casali was gonna be Sonny’s personal catcher.

I think that was the assumption going into ST since they are both Vandy guys and were working out together in the off-season.

From MLB Network's research team: •According to Statcast, 54% of batted balls by Donaldson this year have had an exit velocity of at least 95 mph—his highest hard hit rate over the last five years, including the 2015 AL MVP season.

Why in the world do you let Gray pitch to Inciarte in that spot?
That is just absolutely horrible managing in my opinion.
Even if Ender steals 2nd, AND either Gauseman or Albies gets a base hit, you are still up 3-2.
But with how Sonny looks tonight, the chances of Ender getting the run in with a ground ball or sac fly vs a base hit for 2 runs by either the pitcher or Albies, is probably 30-1.
But instead you just HAND Atlanta a run by letting Inciarte hit a lazy fly ball to center.

They have warts, but they're on a better path.

Yeah Austin was really never right again after he was injured.
He could have been an all star caliber player if he could have been healthy his whole career.
But I'm biased when it comes to Austin, I'm the same age as him, played against him in high school, and even got to know him when I played with him on a Kentucky vs Indiana all star team. I wonder if they still have that Kentucky vs Indiana all star series? But that's the only team I played with him on.
