Seems odd for sure.

I expect Winker is a little injured from his jump over. Bell likely won’t say so in case he’s not available, to tip off the other team.

I’d guess Winker is sitting tonight because Anderson of the Brewers has been a reverse split pitcher this season.

He’s been tough on LHH but righties own him so far.

Reds like to give Peraza some chances so I’m guessing they went with the RHH for this game.

This streak reminds me of the Reds’ hot streak last June and early July, up to the ASB. But with Scooter and Wood coming back, hopefully this streak will continue deep into the season.

I understand that the ball hit the dirt before it got to the mitt (barely), but I don't think it was a wild pitch. I think the pitch was exactly where it was supposed to be.

Cincy's Derek Dietrich once again sticks his body armored elbow out and gets an HBP. Two straight at-bats now. That's 13 HBPs for the season for him now. Has learned an easy way to get on base.

Brewers beat writer. Uecker is also talking about this, but saying it's just part of the game and there's nothing wrong with it.

Like the way that sounds, good one. Once Peraza gets going he can be a real factor for the Reds. Too bad he begins most seasons with a prolonged slump. Has to get over that, but has some talent.

Probably something to do with framing. Casali isnt considered all that good at it if you buy those stats fangraphs has on them

I really think that a young Paul Molitor is a good possible comparison for him. Good speed, makes good contact, has some pop, can play 2B/3B/CF. On the down side, young Molitor was also a magnet for freaky-weird injuries.

Not really. Chacin going tomorrow has a 5.6 ERA. Davies and Woodruff are probably there best guys but nothing special. Woodruff could be though. Has really good stuff.

Moliter was never an aggressive hitter...much more patience than Senzel.

As the homer's go up so will the walks. They are challenging him and hes making them pay. Not saying he compares to molitor but patience wont be an issue for Nick in his career.

Also they had their GM in and asked him how close their team was to trading for Gray. He said not very.

Senzel has been a pretty patient hitter in his career. He ‘s rookie, Moliter is a pretty good comparison hitting wise.

I'm not worried about a skinned knee, but I am worried about the internal knee when he slid hard and late on the SB and the knee took a very compressive flex.

He’s really freaking good. That’s it. I'm asking the question. Before last season his career high was 21, then 36, now he's on pace for over 60.

I know he's really freaking good, he's always been a good hitter. That's why I wanted The Reds to trade for him. Barry Bonds was a great hitter too.

But being on pace for 60+ homers is a little eye popping when you look at his career numbers before last season. Despite the act that he's always had overall good numbers.
