Not as bad as Casali, Dietrich. And he's been sitting. So time to give him a shot.

I'd have sat Iglesias, moved Peraza to SS, and put VanMeter at 2nd. Get another lefty in lineup.

My comments on the 1956 uniforms:

Caps: Outstanding!
Jerseys: Outstanding!
Pants: Outstanding!
Socks: Outstanding!

Overall: My favorite throwbacks so far, and it isn't close. 9.5/10

(They lose half a point for wearing road uniforms instead of white home unis, and not wearing black shoes.)

I don’t know why in this day and age Thom (and let’s face it other announcers) feel the need to tease us with stuff like “as the game goes on we’ll update you with some news on Alex Wood.”

It did make sense that he might hit another level getting out of Marlins Park or whatever it’s called into GABP, but he obviously wasn’t that good. Granted, he’s probably not this bad either, it’s crazy how hard regression to the norm is hitting him right now.

Maybe that Miami -> hitter’s park boost really doesn’t exist though, Realmuto has been underperforming hard too in Philly.

Ball 4 to Winker looked better than Strike 3 to Votto.

Bauer our thought Votto that go around. It was obvious Votto was sitting dead red to drive and took an 86 mph curve right down the middle and then a 79 mph curve that caught a good 3 inches of the plate down where lefties can drive it.....then scorched him about an inch and a half high......which had been called all game long.

It's amazing how Cleveland has performed with all they lost off last year's team and with their injuries to their rotation. I think the Reds would make great trade partners with them.
