But there is such a thing as expanding the strike zone in certain situations. That's one where it would have been perfectly understandable and in hindsight perhaps even necessary to do so. Admittedly maybe he pops out or taps out and the result is no different. Maybe he walks a pitch or two later. Maybe he strikes out a pitch or two later.

But there is such a thing as expanding the strike zone in certain situations. That's one where it would have been perfectly understandable and in hindsight perhaps even necessary to do so. Admittedly maybe he pops out or taps out and the result is no different. Maybe he walks a pitch or two later. Maybe he strikes out a pitch or two later.
