One of the things about senzel is he is a lot like 2009 and 2010 drew Stubbs who was productive. I think Stubbs fell of a cliff because of injuries. But if Senzel could put up a 3.3 war next year like Stubbs did on 2010 I would be real happy. I do not think Senzel will steal bases like Stubbs which would be a good thing for his health. I could senzel also getting close to Stubbs defensively. I think may have a better hit too and potential to put up more hrs because of juiced ball

I have never been. I actually just learned a few months ago that it was built on the old Orange Bowl stadium site which I had been to several times for college football games. Wish they they could have done this against Picksburgh. (local idiom).

Well, barring a complete collapse by our Reds at least the Pirates should remain down in last where they belong.

Say what you will about Galvis: traditionally slightly below league average hitter, exiting his prime years, taking a spot from JVM at second, maybe redundant with Iglesias and Peraza on the roster..::::the guy is raking since we signed him.

if the Reds do not start giving Galvis starts at SS in September, is that a sign they plan on leaving him at 2nd base and/or they are interested in Iglesias returning?

Suarez has that spot he doesn’t miss. Ervin got his cookie. Galvis laughed at the poor location.

So it appears the new rule with Iglesias is that is has to be the 9th inning and a save situation and ALSO it apparently needs to be at GABP because he's getting lit up on the road of late.

Roy Tucker

Iglesias has nasty stuff and can smoke hitters. But he has an unfortunate penchant for giving guys fat fastballs in the heart of the plate. And MLB hitters will make you pay for those. I don’t know if it’s lack of concentration or what.

Drew Stubbs only MLB CF ever that couldn’t dive to catch a ball....could barely slide and do it.

And Senzel is way better now at recognizing pitches than Stubbs ever was. Senzel probably now has more ABs with more than 7 pitches than Stubbs had in his career.

I don't mind Senzel doing that but hopefully it doesn't come back to haunt.

Thoughts on what happened in the 7th with Senzel getting thrown out? Was it on Senzel for looking over his shoulder again and not running hard? Or did House trip him up by holding him up initially and then tsending him? Just a weird play. He was jogging down the line and it seemed he turned on the speed well after the throw went to first.

Sonny Gray’s 1.59 ERA since July 1 (including today) is the third lowest in the majors (min: 40 IP) behind Jacob deGrom (1.22) and Jack Flaherty (1.33).

Does anyone else get that sick stomach feeling every time they watch Homer Bailey run out there every 5th day for the A's like he's the Lou Gehrig of pitchers?
And put up numbers like 12-8 and a decent ERA?
He has won 2x more games this season for the A's & Royals than he did for the $80 Million the Reds paid him for 5 seasons.

Not even a little bit. I dont hold grudges against players because they got hurt and were unable to perform up to expectations. Could his attitude have been better at certain times? Sure, but I dont see why anyone here would wish him anything but the best. I'm glad he is having a decent year and hope he can rebound and have a great end to his career as well.

Yea, he may have an 11-8 record but his ERA (including 5.68 with the A's) isn't anything to write home about.

It's funny how that happens when the Reds win.

I didn't watch last night. I'm taking some of Roy Tucker's advice and taking a break after the horrible weekend in Pittsburgh. Maybe I should stay away more since they won?

Was there really 5297 at the game or was that a bump up from what was really there? I don't how either team in Florida can exist with that kind of paltry attendance. MLB should really look to move or contract those franchises.
