I’d like to see Senzel in the same spot in the order everyday....as a matter of fact I’d like to see more of a regular order all together

I'd like to see Votto moved down. He is no longer a top to middle of order hitter. There are 3 players batting lower in todays line up that would be better options in the 2 hole.

Bell has a player batting .297 in the eight hole. I'm not following that logic.

Easy...he batted 6th last night but struggled only getting 2 hits and a walk

So he must bat 8th

Other than Votto, Iglesias and Barnharts places in the batting order everything looks great!

I don't have a crystal ball and I"m probably wrong as much as I am right, I think this is our 2020 lineup. Unless they don't bring Iglesias back, then it'll be JVM to 2nd and Winker and Ervin in lf.

08-28-2019, 06:46 PM
Seven of the 12 position players for the Rays have faced Disco previously, and their averages all range between Castro's .313 and the .667 of Dean and Prado. In terms of numbers of ABs, Castro has the most at 16, Granderson 12 with .333, and Walker with 11 at .364. Could be some tough sledding for the Reds pitcher.

Him being the real deal would be such a huge shot in the arm to this franchise. Van Meter, also, to a lesser degree.

Yeah. He’s got star quality too. The cool batting stance. The mammoth bombs. The arm. Of course we won’t really know anything until next year, but if he is indeed the real deal, the Reds hit the jackpot in spite of themselves. Doesn’t matter. Better to be lucky than good sometimes.

Aquino has a different energy to me. I know Dunn was a good athlete, but he always kinda looked like an oaf out there. Aquino is smooth. Plays faster, if that makes any sense.

No disagreement from me. Dunn was a lot slimmer as a rookie before he got to be NFL defensive end sized. But he was always donkey-esque.

Nice job by Disco, going 7 with no runs! Getting a DP on the first pitch after the first hit he gave up was big for getting his pitch count to look a lot better. Then after he gave up his 2nd hit, in the 7th, he got the last batter with 5 of his pitches being 93.5 to 94.1 mph. Of course I don't think this Marlins line-up is up there with the top ones in MLB.

If Aquino can hit just one more HR in the next four games he will tie Frank Robinson and Greg Vaughn for most HR's in calendar month with 14. Not bad for someone most of us knew nothing or little about just about a month ago.

It's just too bad the Reds couldn't schedule the Marlins about 90 times this season. They may have made the playoff then.
