Good pitching matchup tonight with Castillo going against DeGrom.

Home run leader up for grabs this weekend also, Suarez vs Alonso.

If the Reds could take a couple this weekend it would virtually eliminate the Mets from the wild card.

The Reds tonight will wear their Military Appreciation uniforms in honor of National POW/MIA Recognition Day.

Marty and Cowboy will call tonight’s game live from the stands, behind section 119

Galvis hurt?

https://www.mlb.com/reds/news/freddy-galvis-mri-reveals-no-structural-knee-damage

When Reds second baseman Freddy Galvis described the “pop” he felt in his left knee that forced him to leave Saturday’s game in Arizona, it sounded like the worst-case scenario.

Galvis, however, underwent an MRI on Sunday, and the results revealed no structural damage -- a sigh of relief for Galvis and the Reds.

“He got a good report today. When we saw him go down, we were concerned, so it’s been really positive news since then,” manager David Bell said.

Bell also told reporters that the focus will now be on re-strengthening Galvis’ knee. Galvis will have a few more days of rest and will be re-evaluated in a few days, but with just 12 games remaining in the season, it's uncertain if Galvis will see any more game action.

And we do owe them a little payback.

Just glancing through the stats a bit

11-12, 206 inn, 4.41 era, 1.26 WHIP

12-11, 191 inn, 4.38 era, 1.29 WHIP

Trevor Bauer and Mike Leake....just interesting how close they were in some of the pitching stats

I want no part of the Mets being in the playoffs....so I assume they’ll sweep us

Ron Madden

The Reds have just nine games to play this season.

They can spoil the playoff hopes of the Mets and the Brewers.

The Brewers and the Mets both ruined the Reds playoff hopes in 1999.

Details? I assume he will need surgery for it but he has all season to recover which he should be able to for a torn labrum.

Jeff got into how depending on whether it’s completely torn off or partial it may or may not require surgery. Something about his choice of words and delivery made it sound awful. “Torn off the booooone”

He needs to get it fixed, even if its a partial tear it is likely to become a complete tear. No good reason not to fix int in the offseason IMO. Especially if you are a high level throwing athlete. Some weekend warrior dude in his 40's? Fine, you don't need to get it fixed just stop doing things that cause you pain.

Second stolen base of the night for the Reds.

I'm getting a "let's just get crazy and not worry about winning" vibe.

We have seen how the Reds handle injuries. Would not surprise me they try non-surgical methods first and they will not decide until next spring he needs surgury and he will miss the start of next year.

You aren't going to get anything for a 26 year old that's struggled his entire MLB career.

Reds will have to make some decisions on pitchers of Sal’s age group. They are running out of options. Stephenson, Reed, Romano, Mella, Finnegan, Stephens, seem like they’ve been with this organization forever. Time to fish or cut bait.

I think mellas and Stephen's are done since they were not brought up.
To me not much difference between sims Romano and gausman as far as starting goes
