I like being in that catbird seat in case someone slips. And someone always slips. If they can convince another team to give them their 2nd and a 3rd, fine.

But that 33rd pick is a really attractive piece.

Yeah i agree with this. For the #5, #18 and #26 picks seemed underwhelming with the Tua injury wildcard and missing the top tier OTs and then reaching at corner with the tradeback to #31

Essentially they ended up with a Tanked 2019 Season + trading Minkah Fitzpatrick and Tunsil + Stills for an injured Tua, a project with potential at OT and a reach at CB.

They still have Houston's #1 and #2 next year which might be looking better after the Texans simply mindboggling move to trade Deandre Hopkins in the offseason for David Johnson

The Lions may find Matthew Stafford‘s heir apparent tonight.

Detroit is interested in quarterbacks Jalen Hurts and Jacob Eason and would consider taking either of them tonight, according to NFL Network. The Lions have their own second- and third-round picks as well as the Eagles’ third-round pick tonight.

It’s also possible that the Lions are putting out word of their interest in a quarterback in the hopes that some other team hoping to draft a quarterback will trade up and take one ahead of Detroit, improving the Lions’ chances of getting the player they actually want.

They need a guard you can get a guard at 4 or a developmental Tackle at 4...Jones is still there for a reason Goodberry thinks it is due to most teams viewing him as a guard.
