The way I saw it play out was....the Ump heard Joey say something from the dugout and walking over to warn him or something....Bell jumped out there to try to ensure Joey did not get tossed. Once he accomplished that, Rizzo baited him and Bell fell for it....which caused the players to come out to back up Bell.

They put in a zero tolerance policy to prevent bench clearing situations. That zero tolerance policy directly resulted in a bench clearing situation.

If the umps are going to issue warning for the ball slipping on Antone, they have to follow up when the same thing happens to the Cubs pitcher. That was handled horribly by the umps.

Aquino probably is a risky prospect but he has probably the most upside of anyone else. I just don’t see anyone is the organization that has 30 HR potential. Reds have to develop him and he has to be a starter next year.

Castellanos didn’t miss that fly ball because he’s a poor OF.....he missed it because he had to try to catch it the cool way. I bet he would’ve used his cover hand had it been deep into a playoff game.

As for Bell protecting Votto....I’m good with that. Pretty much protocol around the league, but 1 question.... when a player is chirping from the dugout and the ump is looking over or making his way that direction, why doesn’t the manager go to the PLAYER and calm him down instead of going out onto the field?
