Those guys really didn’t play all that much though, it’s just felt excruciatingly long because of how little they hit.

I don’t think anyone ever thought Aquino shouldn’t play over those guys, but only Bruce has specifically said which guys in the actually OF rotation he would have benched for Aquino (all of them, basically).

The Aquino 2 run HR allowed Sims to be able to bow his back, and get out of his own jam, and be stellar after he either lost focus, or erred in strategy on the first two hitters of the inning, the 8 and 9 hitters!

I don't give the offense a ton of credit for this series. They were handed this one today, and faced some pretty lowly pitching in Game 1.

But all the credit in the word to the pitching staff. They neutralized a deadly offense at full strength. And it was largley done by the bottom of the rotation.

Amazing series.
