Was kinda thinking he might go with Goodwin in CF. Veteran left handed hitter. Maybe he wouldn’t be scared to hit the ball. *♂️

Team was pretty cocky heading into this series. They look feeble now; completely lost all confidence. These ABs are just abysmal— not even just the result but the approach/attempt

The Operator

So that’s 20 scoreless innings now right?

There have to be major changes if this series ends the way it's looking now. Bell probably survives, but hitting instructor has to be shown the door for sure. I'd probably go for mini rebuild and start Garcia and Stephenson from game 1 next year. They can't do much worse.

Larry Schuler

There are more important things than winning the game. You can lose a series while scoring zero runs in 94 innings and still be a winner, as long as you grow as people and learn valuable lessons along the way.

Reds just are full of un professional at bats.

Castellanos swinging off his
Votto with a solid at bat...bad luck line out to LF
Suarez...why he's struck out looking two times in a row off balls in middle of plate...WTH is he doing today.

Why Ian Anderson is striking out vs a decent but not elite RH pictcher Ian Anderson is very much of what we've seen all year. Just not a very professional approach with so many vying for home runs and not trying to drive the ball.

KeefeCato

:beerme:

Well, maybe not everyone. Keep Bauer (if possible), Gray, Castillo, Garcia, T. Stephenson, and bring up some of the youth. Some of: India, Lodolo, Greene, Hendrick, etc. Find a way to get rid of Castellanos, Suarez, Votto, Senzel, Akiyama, Galvis, Barnhart, Casali, Goodwin, Winker, and the entire bullpen (maybe with the exception of L. Sims).

Yep, the Braves are the better team. The only reason the Reds are in the playoffs is due to the expanded format gimmick.
The last two weeks of the season when they went on a tear was fun, but now it's back to reality.

Back to the reality that they have a top notch starting rotation.

Kudos to that group that just keeps showing up unlike some of their counterparts that supposedly swing bats

Going into this offseason we need a SS (yes I admit I was wrong about Garcia), a CF, a 1B (welcome to the bench, Joey), and another SP (Bauer gone), another power corner bat. I’d say C, but I’m willing to go into the season with Ty Steve.

Let’s see what happens.

Joey is our starting first baseman til the days he retires or lands on the IL.
I’m actually encouraged how he hit after not choking up anymore.
He can hit 30HR if he hits that way from day 1

Seriously, this team needs to be blown up. From the inside out. Something is really amiss here, and it's a silent, spreading suck that infiltrates everyone.

And we, the fans, deserve this. It's like the Baseball Gods said "Ok, Cincinnati - we hear you. You'll make the playoffs, but you'll go 1-2-BBQ and fail to score even a single run."

In 1995 getting swept by the Braves was pretty awful. 2010 felt like it was ahead of schedule and the Phillies were so obviously better, it was hard to be too upset. 2012 was like slowly dying for three straight days. At least both losses weren't 1-0.

One thing I don't want to hear from this team ever again is getting in the playoffs and bragging we an fing nightmare and everyone knows it. Embarrasing. Just shut up until you actually do something

I tried to tell you all that if the Reds somehow managed to sneak into the playoffs they were going to get embarrassed. But even I didn't predict the total ineptitude we are seeing. Now let's go for that scoreless record!

Think we already got it.
