If Votto can’t get his OPS above .800 by the end of the month, then he needs to be starting maybe 1 game a week, maximum, for the remainder of the season.

If you’re going to quote me, please include the qualifier, “if he can’t get his OPS above .800 by the end of the month”, otherwise it’s out of context. I’m glad that he’s looked a little better the last few games, but let’s not get carried away. Including tonight he’s 6 for his last 28 over the past week, a .214 AVG with a slugging driven OPS of .812. This is a good thing and let’s hope it continues. If it does, he’s earning his spot in the lineup.
