Vlad, thinking no one could hit it out, found out a meatball could go out and gave up the first run. Reds plagued by the ground rule double unluckiness for Tucker, and Winker's refusal to take a less then full intensity swing with the wind like it is, and just line it to LF for an RBI(two different plate appearances). Otherrwise Reds would lead!

It seems like the new 3 batter rule for relievers is making more mid-inning pitching changes than before. The reason I think is that the managers are afraid of losing control of the situation when starting a new inning with a new pitcher. If you bring a pitcher in with two out, and he gets the out, then they have the option of putting in another pitcher atthe start of the next inning, or sticking with the same one who won't be mandated to face 3 more batters.
