I'm not one to declare a guy a lost cause because there's lot of variables but Vlad could never consistently get minor leaguers out, it's just doubtful that he's some sort of answer for the Reds. Classic case of "put him in the bullpen or whatever".

Actually, if any player is wearing a red undershirt, then the opposing manager could say something to the umpire about the Reds being out of uniform, and force Antone to change. I remember Jack McKeon doing that in a game vs. the Mets. The Mets' pitcher was wearing an orange undershirt, while all of the other Mets players were wearing blue undershirts. McKeon complained to the umpire that the pitcher was out of uniform, and the umpire told the Mets that the pitcher would have to change to a blue undershirt or leave the game. Bobby Valentine and the Mets pitcher came unglued! McKeon definitely got into their heads!
