He does not have the arm to play SS. Which is why he barely played SS in the minors.

I think this should be how the infield looks.

1st-Votto
2nd- Lopez
ss- India
3rd- Geno

When Moustakas comes back he goes to 2nd. Geno stays at 3rd and India stays at ss. India seems to have the range and arm for the position.

3rd straight game no Stephenson.

Stephenson has had 16 plate appearances this week including a start at 1b. He was 5 for 15 with a walk. He also had a devastating passed ball that may have cost the game to KC. He’ll probably get in the game today as a pinch hitter again.

Barnhart has been hitting very well and playing GG defense. No complaints about sitting Tyler against Peralta.

The reason Freeman is on the Reds’ roster is because plays decent shortstop.

So when Farmer is out, one might expect Freeman to play there.

If not for Freeman’s ability to play decent shortstop, a better hitter would have replaced him on the roster. Such as Schrock. Reds chose for now to keep Freeman.

So I did a search on Lopez. Found one article that said Lopez could be an emergency SS. This was interesting, he played LF over the winter, did not know that, but maybe it's already been posted.

https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/06/reds-dfa-scott-heineman-promote-alejo-lopez.html

Lopez has split his time between second base and third base this season, with the former of those two spots being his primary position throughout his minor league career. He does have some experience at shortstop and got some work in left field while playing winter ball in Mexico

I’ve never heard any serious PED rumors although I wondered openly about that.

I’m 99.999% sure though, that The Brewers were stealing signs during his two MVP-level seasons. Yelich even got into a small little Twitter spat with Yu Darvish after Darvish mentioned an incident and internet sleuths figured out it was Yelich he was talking about. It was pretty convincing.

Monds made a point last night that it probably doesn’t explain a drop-off to this degree, but I absolutely think it explain some of it.

Look at his numbers in Miami then his first two seasons in Milwaukee’s. Night and day different. Then The Astros get busted and suddenly he’s human again.

Disagree.

I was around 10 when those aired. Going to the dude ranch was a terrible episode, but many other sit coms had made similar shows and choices. But Fonzie jumping a shark was so bizarre and stupid, that even I and all my 10 year old friends knew this was the end of the show. We talked about it the day after as a sign that the show was going to be cancelled.

That is why that phrase became so popular. As soon as I heard it over a decade later, I knew exactly what show and what episode they were talking about, as did everyone else, because I had always felt the same way. “Riding the bull” could have meant numerous other shows.

Both episodes were pretty horrible, though. I had pretty much stopped watching Happy Days by that time (at least regularly).

The "Happy Days" two-parter where they went to the dude ranch was much worse than the shark episode.

If it had aired before the shark episode, then the phrase might have been "riding the bull".

Who is the former player color man on this broadcast?

I dont know, but I heard him say earlier that he played LF for the Brewers the year they opened Miller Park (which was 2001).

Only eight players played in LF for the Brewers in 2001, so that narrows it down to Geoff Jenkins, James Mouton, Mark Sweeney, Devon White, Lou Collier, Alex Sanchez, or Jose Hernandez. (It can't be Angel Echevarria, because he died last year.)
