I am really looking forward to this one. The stars are healthy and playing well and both managers have tough personnel decisions to make.
These squads are so loaded with talent, young and old.
will Argentina play 3 or 4 midfielders? Will Nicholas Gonzalez continue to get chances to excel? Or will Sergio Aguero get more minutes? On defense, Renan Lodi has made a good impression on me.
Will Brazil give Eder Militao the start over Thiago Silva? Will Vinicius Junior get a start with Gabigol suspended?

At HT, Argentina leads 1-0 on an inch perfect 70 yd diagonal pass from DePaul to DeMaria, who controlled it instantly and chipped Ederson for the goal. Neymar has been very dynamic, without a clear scoring chance. Messi has been less effective. Top notch footer. Physical, skillful, passionate.

Argentina holds on for a 1-0 win. In Maracena. Messi wins a major trophy for first time. DePaul (Udinese) is my player of the game, though Neymar was unbelievable. He must have dribbled by 20 players. He was fouled at least ten times. Renan Lodi was blamed by some for the goal, but I think the pass was out of reach.
