Some updates from David Bell.
-On Art Warren: “Those injuries take a little longer than you want them to.” Bell gave a 3-6 week timeline.

On Tejay Antone and Lucas Sims: “The more realistic month is August, and the beginning of August is what I’m hoping for."

On Nick Senzel: “He’s still making his way and adding in activities, taking fly balls and taking ground balls.”
Senzel and Moustakas are also out until at least the end of July.

Bell says there’s a chance the Reds could go to a six-man rotation for this homestead and allow for some extra rest coming off the break.

There is a chance Jeff Hoffman “could factor in as a starter for us.”
-Michael Feliz “wasn’t recovering properly,” but he will continue to pitch. One night in Louisville his velocity was down. He’s back on a rehab assignment.

Sonny Gray is officially back on Sunday. “For him to still feel great and ready to go on Sunday is a great sign."

From July 16, today, through August 22, Reds have only two off days. The third would be August 23.

So I could see them needing an extra starting pitcher in that period.

Not a fabulous injury report, although sounds like most of them should be back in August.

David Bell says Nick Senzel could go on a rehab assignment as early as next week.

David Bell on Nick Senzel: "If he can play some short when he comes back, if he can play some center field, it’s just going to create even more opportunity for him to play.”
“Just trying to keep as many options open as possible."

Bell on Nick Castellanos: “Feeling better, he’s in getting treatment right now… The biggest progress he made was from Saturday to Sunday and it’s a little bit better today.”
“No concerns for anything more severe."

I know it's pointless to even speculate this much, but I'm bored while waiting for my muffler to get fixed.

Who is replaced when all of these guys come back (assuming they're all coming back which is a stupid assumption):

Freeman is gone.
When Sims come back he can replace...almost anyone. Take your pick.

But beyond that, who else would get sent down or released?

Bell was quoted on Trade Rumors as saying he’s not recovering exactly as we want him to.

Timeline initially was 4-6 weeks.

That timeline was said at the end of May.

Today the #Reds activated from 10-day injured list RHP Lucas Sims (right elbow sprain) and placed on the 10-day injured list RHP Brad Brach (right shoulder impingement).

Senzel started at SS today for the AAA Bats, he played a complete game and scored twice while going 3 for 5 with a double.

Antone pitched a scoreless inning in middle relief, he struckout 2 of the 3 batters he faced.

at least he's back now. but this is typical senzel. can he even go 3 games without getting hurt?

not only does senzel get hurt a lot, he recovers unusually slow. not a good combination. injured frequently, and the injuries usually linger much longer than expected.

Rosters expand in 19 days.

If a player who as of now has yet to be optioned this season were to be optioned at any point between now and then and be recalled the first day they expand they would not lose an option year and would still be credited with big league service for a full year in 2021.

David Bell says he doesn't expect Jesse Winker to return when he's first eligible to come off the 10-day IL on Aug. 26. Winker has yet to begin baseball activities, so he may need an extra week or two.

The Reds designated RHP Michael Feliz for assignment on Monday after he was returned from rehab, reinstated from 60-day IL. The 40-man roster is at 38.

The move wasn’t because of the forty man roster. Feliz had to be activated from injury rehab stint, no room on 26 man active roster, no minor league options. Only choice was to DFA him.

Thanks. I hadn't realized Senzel was on the 60 IL. I had thought he finished his rehab and was optioned to give him more time for evaluation.

I don't think Hoffman is going anywhere right now, he's been throwing well out of the pen and can go multiple innings.
