I like the line-up a lot better with Aquino over Naquin. IF we had Stephenson in there it would bebetter yet, but Barnhart is showing a little life. Suarez and Shogo continue to be the glaring problems.

I agree he is valuable. But I trade one of Barrero or Farmer. If I can fill a need at CF SP or RP in the offseason. Trade from your strengths to fill needs. I just don't see any reason to carry. Suarez who has zero trade value. Moose who has next to no trade value. Senzel, Barreo and Moose. Not enough spots for everyone. Again only if I can upgrade a position of need.
I get your point though. I do think Farmer is very valuable.

I’d keep Barrero and Farmer, neither very expensive. Jose will be a rookie. Never know how easy the transition will be.

The goal should be to move a salary, not a cheap and good player. Even if the return is small, you open up payflex which (hopefully) gets used.

There probably will be a DH to provide extra at bats for a position player.

They could go the no trade route. But they better put up money and keep Casty. And sign a top 20 RP and extend Givens. I just don't see they putting up that much money. If Nick leaves they have to sign a top 20 OFer or trade for one. If they wanna continue to compete IMO.
