How many of you are Reds fans but not Bengals fans? I grew up in Huntington WV and was a kid during the Big Red Machine and the Steel Curtain. Both were in our TV market and the choices were easy for me. I'm diehard for both. Who else on this board follows an NFL team outside of Cincinnati?

I am not a Bengals fan, but I root for them over every team except the Browns, Lions, and Panthers.

I grew up in Toledo, OH. I am a Reds fan because my parents were. My dad is a big Pete Rose/BRM fan.

Cowboys. Grew up in Louisville, and Cowboys were on channel 11 while Bengals were on channel 3. We just happened to watch the Cowboys, and when you're 5 it's hard not to like a team with a guy named Too-Tall Jones.

I like the Bengals, forty-six years now..... but don't really follow football, watch yes, don't throw my weekends away for the game though.

That's what forty-six years as a Bengal fan does for you

The Bengals have been a side splitting joke for most of my adult life, so I follow others, I don't really have a favorite.

Not a massive fan of football due to the issues with CTE and the poor job of protecting players by the league as a whole. But I'm a Browns' fan first.

Born in Cincinnati, but mostly raised in Indianapolis (my parents were born and raised in Cincinnati and all of my nonimmediate family lives there). Anyway, I'm a Colts fan first. With that said though, I will root for the Bengals over any team not named the Colts.

I was a Browns v1.0 fan. Huge fan, Browns jerseys, Browns regalia, thought about naming my son Bernie, Sunday’s reserved for Browns game, pilgrimage to the Dawg Pound at least once a year, the whole 9 yards.

But my fandom didn’t make the transition to Browns v2.0. I tried but it withered on the vine. So I got my Sunday’s back which was ultimately a good thing. I watch Bengal games if I have the free time but that’s a rare thing.

Plus pro footballs treatment of its player’s health is starting to change my attitude towards the NFL to a more negative one.

Jaguars fan since 1995. Before they existed I liked the 49ers, mainly because I was a little kid and Jerry Rice was my favorite.

Born and raised in the Ft. Wayne/South Bend area of Indiana. Was a Bears fan until the Colts moved to Indy.

Edit: I should add that WKJG, Channel 33 out of Fort Wayne carried the Reds in my youth.

Born and raised in Virginia where the Washington Football Team was the "local" team, even though I lived 200 miles from DC. Washington didn't have a baseball team, the Reds seemed to be on Game of the Week a lot, and I liked the cut of their Big Red Machine jib. So here I am a fan of WFT and the Reds for about 45 years.

Oddly the fact I DON'T get to see many live Bengal games over the last 25 years has probably kept me as a fan in various moves around the country and time zones.

I was a big Cowboys fan for many years dating back to the first Super Bowl they won. But in the last 15 years or so I lost interest. I hate Jerry Jones. The typical meddling owner who I don't think will ever win another championship. Also I grew to dislike how the NFL is played now. Which is mainly a passing league. Also I don't like how they have approved of all the celebration dances. I still do watch some on Sundays. But don't make it a priority like I used to. When I do watch its from the Redszone channel which has no commercials. I think with all the commercials that are now inserted in a regular broadcast made the game incredibly boring to watch.

I grew up a Reds and Bengals fan.....but transitioned to a Bucs fan when I moved to Florida. The Bucs were still a losing team, but they were improving....Sam Wyche was the coach which made it an easy change. I could never change my teams again....too emotionally invested in the Reds, Bucs, and Lakers.

I can count on one hand the number of live sporting events I watch each year. No commercials for me. That's why I have mlb.tv. I skip past the commercials and FF between pitches.

Life long Brown's fan since 1965. Leroy Kelly number 44. Bengals didn't exist. But I've also followed the Bengals since they came into the NFL, and root for them.

I too live in the Huntington, WV area. I've been a Reds fan since 1966, when I was not quite 11 years old. However, when I started following NFL football, there was not yet a NFL team in Cincinnati, and back then we could only get the local NBC affiliate, WSAZ-TV 3, which showed AFL games, which in effect meant I would root for an AFL team. While my dad rooted for the Kansas City Chiefs, who went to (and lost) Super Bowl I, I became a fan of the silver & black, the Oakland Raiders.
I also rooted for the Bengals when they were created, and I was cheering hard for them in their two Super Bowls, but truth be told, when the Bengals played the Raiders, I rooted for the Raiders. Of course, having those two teams as my favorites, it was easy to find a NFL team to root against: the Steelers.

Yep, same here concerning the TV as I became a Reds and Steelers fan in lower central Ohio. The 76ers were also on CBS a lot in those days (1970’s) in which I became a fan of the team and Dr. J.

I have stuck will all the teams through thick and thin.
