Coming off his concussion, with three games in 1 1/2 days, maybe Bell is being prudent today.

I don’t care how successful the Rays are with their relievers openers. It’s not something I would ever want done in case of an emergency. You had Hoffman who had actually been ok enough to warrant the emergency start. Or hey how about this new guy who’s doing ok. Jared never pitched above High-A before injury. After it, he flew through AA + AAA to MLB. He's a true dog. #reds #drivelinefamilly
