I hope Stephenson isn't hurt. That's a really weak lineup without him in there. I was and still am hoping the Reds can pass the Nats this weekend. Nats have going really bad for most of this season and even more so lately.

I have to resort to watching this series on MASN since I live in the Nats black out territory. Bob Carpenter and Kevin Frandsen are their announcers. Frandsen is new and I haven't hear him much since I have barely watched any of the Nats games this year. Carpenter is OK at PBP but nothing special. He has been with them since 2006.

Nats went into the destroying mode after they won the World Series in 2019. Very disappointing to see them to do that.

Hey…. Let’s win 8 in a row… the Nats are bad. So are the D’Backs (even if they’ve been decent this year and have won like 278 out of 279 against us).

25-32 in a week. That’s the goal.

Nick Lodolo threw 30-35 pitches in a bullpen session yesterday. “Definitely a positive step,” he said. He’ll throw another bullpen on Saturday.

Tyler Naquin, on the IL with a quad strain, had a PRP injection today. David Bell said the rough estimate is he’ll be sidelined for a month

Bell would have Senzel as the starting CF regardless of injuries. My greater point is he shouldn't be starting, period. But Bell not only plugs him in, he gives him 4-5 PA per game.

When the Reds were in the heat of a playoff race last year an (apparently) healthy Senzel wasn’t allowed on the roster. This year - we’re a million games out anyway. We’ve invested a lot in this dude. Give him 600 PAs. If he OPSs .560, we’ll know what we have… better to find out when the results don’t matter.

I get the point about a lost season, but many here wanted to wait on Jose Peraza forever, too. I'd rather trust my eyes and cut my losses.

Also...if he OPSes .560 over 600 PA, you won't be able to give him away.

Move him now and at least some team may consider that his career was derailed by the injury bug and cough up something of value.

On this date 131 years ago today... June 2, 1891 , Cincinnati Reds pitcher Charley "Old Hoss" Radbourne(one of my favorite characters of the game and one of the best pitchers of his day) won his 300th career game with a 10-8 complete game victory over the Boston Beaneaters at South End Grounds in Boston. He became only the fifth member of the 300 win club in baseball history. My man completed 488 of his 502 career starts( 97.2%) Old Hoss won his 310 career games over a span of just eleven seasons.

Cy Young won his 300th game 10 years later in 1901.

113 Game time thread posts in a winning game is a new low.

Where are you going to go?

No where near a new low. In the mid 2000's there were some game threads in the teens.

Raise the right field wall, the seats they lose aren't needed anyway

In 2000's I was at MLB Message board that they hosted for every team... but I meant the lowest for this swell season
