Matt Reynolds hitting clean-up. Worse is that of the guys in the line-up, he's probably the best choice.

Suarez has some serious ground ball tendencies.

Bottom half of Reds lineup includes. Albert, Aristedes, Alejo and Austin.

Not sure it’s a very good lineup, but kind of poetic.

That's either alliteration or assonance. One of the two. I think it's the later.

I cant believe Zuech is still on the team. If there isn't a better option in AAA than him. Then the Reds are worse off than I thought.

This is what you get when your #1 and #2 starters get traded, and another of your starters goes on the DL. It's late in the season in a lost year, and no reason to rush up anyone. My guess is until Greene is ready to go again, this is what you get. Even then Ashcraft will be nearing his innings limit.

I agree I don't wanna see them rush any pitchers. But has to be someone a 4a guy or a older x major leaguer. Or a wavier wire claim. Someone better. I mean Mike Minor type would even be a improvement.
Happy for the local guy to get a couple starts. But enough is enough.

7 hitter leads off with a double, but disappointing to me the 8th and 9th hitters with poor offensive stats have a chance to show how they can contribute to scoring runs in a scoreless game and can't even make productive outs. India could have been safe on that bad throw and continued the inning if he had any athleticism left in his injured body.

Fraley doesn't look like the same hitter against a LHP. Another platoon guy on a team full of platoon guys.

I think they are going at the problem the wrong way. They should let the active roster go up to like 32 in September, but each games line-up card can only have 22 or 23 names on it to be eligible for that game.

They are off tomorrow. So hopefully Diaz will pitch 2 innings today. Provided he doesn't throw many pitches to get 6 outs
Be nice to avoid the sweep, but the last thing they need to do is over work Diaz.
I get the feeling that we will see Warren in the 8th though.

I don't see him going in until maybe the 9th if its tie or Reds leading. But even in a tie I might wait for the ghost runners of the 10th and maybe the 11th. By the way I like the Little League softball rule of playing the 1st extra inning straight up, and then the ghost runner for the remainder.

I'd say just pitch him. Two innings per outing from here on out. With a 30 pitch limit per outing.
This would be every 3rd or 4th day. Because he should only pitch in tie games or games which the Reds have a lead. No way that's going be more than once every 3 days on average.

The reason the Reds seldom walk anymore is they have no power. Pitchers pound the strike zone on 7 of the hitters. Barrero and Aquino just get sliders in the dirt. Cause pitchers know they don't even have to throw them a strike.

Well at least the Reds moved on from Rolando Roomes faster. If he was a Ken Berry or Mike Anderson GG type of OF who both could barely hit in the low .200 then ok. I blame the Reds brass at this point in time for continuing to subject everyone to him starting.
