Interesting on Farmer, OPS was .732 last year and .714 this year.

Yet his wRC+ was 91 last year and is 98 this year.

WRC+ is league adjusted, just shows how much NL hitters have declined relatively to last season.

That's a pretty pathetic loss. Ashcraft hit a bit of a wall then you have to turn to Kuhnel and Detweiler in the 9th. Yikes.

Bell's been using him in the most critical situations. He was trying to keep the lead. I don't have an issue with it.

Frankly, nothing is going to prepare Diaz more for the closer's role than coming in the game for the toughest scenarios.

Kuhnel has choked every close opportunity he's had. He's just not very good, barely fit for middle relief or mop up, def. should be nowhere near the last inning of a one run lead.
