Has anyone ever noticed how Chris Welsh ALWAYS sticks up for umpires?

Even when they obviously blow a call he always makes up some lame excuse for them.

I'm tired of his old act as a color commentator too.
Anybody seems a little better while working with Thom but I think Welsh sucks.
