Add Benson to the OF and move one of those position guys to Dh in place of Casali and that's a potential opening day line-up if Votto starts on the IL, Of course, Weaver won't be the opening day pitcher.

Seems as if the Reds are running the veterans out earlier in the spring this season.

Everyone in that order will play for the Reds this season, except perhaps Pinder. (And he's a really good bet, IMO.)

Is that typically the case this early?

David Bell said there's a big step for Nick Senzel (toe) today.

He's hitting in today's simulated game on the back fields.

Two more signs of the aggressive spring the Reds are having.

David Bell is excited about how many bases the Reds have been stealing this spring, which is more more than previous years.

Relievers could be built up to throw 2-3 innings.

Williamson went 2 innings fanning 3 with 0 BB on 1 hit(the solo HR). Looking like he has a real chance to make the opening day rotation to me.

Brandon Williamson, allowed a one-out solo homer by Yasmani Grandal in the third inning -- the only hit and run the lefty surrendered during his two innings.

“I really felt like that second inning, he was really into a flow out there," Bell said. "He came in and it felt like maybe he found something, because he was pitching with a lot of confidence. Both innings, but especially the second inning, it looked like he was just having fun out there.”

Reliever Hunter Strickland, who was signed to a Minor League deal after camp opened, pitched a scoreless seventh inning with one hit in his spring debut.
