Big commitment for the future at QB with Cutter Boley announcing his commitment to UK and reclassifying to 2024.
After Devin Leary graduates this year Boley would likely step in as the QB of the future. Really excited to see what Liam Coen does with both QBs moving forward.

UK has played Texas only one time back in 1951 when The Bear was head coach. They lost to them 7-6. That's a tough schedule but I guess any schedule in the SEC is tough. They had better win all four of the non conference games, which they should.

South Carolina and Louisville are going to be the litmus test for bowls each year, I'd guess. Win those two, and you're likely feeling pretty good about your team.
That brings me to an interesting question. Where do Texas and Oklahoma rank in the SEC?
I'd argue it's as follows right now:
The Bottom-- Struggles to win consistently
- Vandy
Belk Bowl Programs-- Consistently bowling, but the wins depend on schedule
- UK
- South Carolina
- Ole Miss
- Mississippi State
- Arkansas
- Missouri
Legitimate Top 15 Program Types-- Most season, this group should win double figures (or it's a disappointment)
- LSU
- Florida
- Tennessee
- Auburn
- Texas A&M
The Dynasties (Current)-- Challenge for national championships every year
- Alabama
- Georgia
I'd guess Texas and Oklahoma belong in the grouping with Florida, Tennessee, et al., but Oklahoma might belong in that tier above (and Texas might belong in the tier below).

Would think LSU is in a tier by themselves. Florida, Auburn, Tennessee are no better then half the programs in the Belk Bowl Program Tier. Would also move Mississippi State and Missouri to a tier lower then that.
Georgia
Alabama
LSU
Oklahoma
Texas
Florida
Tennessee
Auburn
TAMU
UK
Ole Miss
South Carolina
Missouri
Arkansas
Mississippi State
Vandy

I was just wondering if anyone else knew anything more about Freddie Maggard and what his illness is? I just recently got back into Facebook and this popped up in my feed the other day. I watched Freddie all through HS in Cumberland, Ky. He was arguably the best athlete to ever attend that high school. He came by his talent naturally as his dad was a star basketball player at Carr Creek in the 1950's on that legendary team that won a state championship and competed well in a national tournament. Besides being a fine QB he was a very good pitcher. He topped out over 90. Scouts were coming to watch him quite a bit his last two years. I believe he had a shot at making it if he had stayed with baseball instead of football. But he liked football best and went to UK. He did fairly well until a shoulder injury basically ended his career. By the sound of the article he wrote he probably has CTE or some other early form of dementia caused by concussions. My best goes out to him. I will always have fond memories of the great games he played in both football and baseball in high school.

Kentucky beats Louisville again. Fifth in a row for Stoops.
Those wins keep Stoops' seat from ever getting warm, IMO. What an odd season. I'm legitmately disappointed that they "only" "win seven. (Eight, if they win a bowl game.) They certainly could have won more, had the QB and WR positions been more consistent.
Rumor is that Stoops is the favorite for the Texas A&M job. If so, it's ironic, considering UK's best coach of all-time also left for A&M.

Stoops is a great guy for taking a program at the bottom and bringing it to respectability. I can't see him at a place where the expectations are out of whack.

Disappointing season, but beautiful result today.
That kind of effort and fight would have beaten South Carolina and maybe Missouri.
I like Stoops - easily the best UK voach of my lifetime - but that tale about coaches lasting 10 years before their voice gets tired might be proving true.
I don’t “want” him gone, but going from t-0 to 7-5 this year and the end of last year kind of make me wonder.
Still, I just want to enjoy today

Stoops is staying. I'm guessing the A&M meltdown to him being the pick had a lot to do with it (plus beating Louisville).
Dabo Swinney and Ryan Day are the top candidates for Aggieland now.
