Not Bowers.

I think it’ll be Murphy or Newton right now. Both, if available, will be very close to BPA and IDL is a position of need.

1. IDL
2. OT
3. WR
4. CB
5. EDGE

I think an offensive tackle is more likely to be the pick than defensive tackle, though both are definite areas of need. I agree with WR and CB as early (likely day two) picks, though not sure I see a DE that early unless there's extreme value. They struggled to find playing time at that position for last year's first round pick, and Ossai hardly even played, so I'm not sure where the playing time opportunity would be for another first rounder. Every one of their top four DEs are under contract for at least two more years with the exception of Ossai, who's up after 2024.

I agree and don't think there's any chance they'd take another DE in the first round. And, I'd be perfectly fine with an OT as well.

First four picks should be, in any order...

OT
DT
WR2
CB

I'd like to see day 3 be (any order):

RB
DL
IOL
LB
LB
TE

So far, it's 13 for 13 as DT or OL.

Yep and I’m good with that. Load up the trenches! A stud CB would be good too, but they need more help on the lines. And, I don’t think there’s any chance they draft a WR in the first round…..maybe next year after Tee is gone.

I have always been a firm believer that games are won and lost in the trenches! Not about to change that philosophy now…

We can really make hay with 10 picks, especially with 4 in the first 2 days.

It's the only way we're going to be able to afford the contracts of Burrow, Chase and a couple of others.

I apologize if I stir up any bad memories that many have tried to permanently block out of their minds, but Bengals' fans had to live through some horrendous decisions (trading down and not taking Steven Jackson) and non-decisions [not leap-frogging a team or two in order to grab what we needed and settling for some turd (always letting the draft play Mike Brown instead of Mike Brown hiring a G.M. to play the draft and let the G.M. do his job)].

These poor memories that lasted for two decades make me feel that whatever happens this year is gravy on top of the Drafts AND Free Agent moves the Bengals have made the last four years. For those of us who watch it closely, we could see the changes developing slowly for a decade before that as there was so much change that needed to be made, such as doubling the Scouting Department from 2 to 4 people, which when you think about it, explains 100% the reasons why we sucked so badly at drafting players.

I think the Bengals will draft Murphy if he's available because that'd be great value and he'd fill a need. Big win. That said, I don't think he'll be available at #18 and the Bengals will take the best OL available.

It would be interesting to see what they'd do if Bowers is still available. I would prefer an OL, but I'd also be excited about the addition of an elite TE. If that option becomes available, I think they'd make the difficult decision to pass on Bowers.

I don't think the Bengals are locked at #18 and are willing to move up or down should the situation warrant. They are so much better than they used to be at getting players that they want rather than letting the draft hand them whatever player happens to be available when it's their pick.

Always have to be carefull moving down and missing out on an All-Pro and winding up with someone not good enough to generate a 2nd contract.
