Lots of good ones to choose from. I'll start with a long short... a TRUE long shot.

Larry Collmus with an epic call... When Larry says, "RICH STRIKE!," I get goose bumps every single time. Just a brilliant, spectacular call. Larry was so in the moment. It wasn't about the broadcaster but the spectacular race he was watching.

I don't really have a taste for the great call, I like the understated Vin calls, with witty takes mostly. But I do like crazy and the craziest I ever heard live was "The Play" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Play_(American_football)). At the time I was 20 years old and delivering auto parts (for $3.50 an hour) in Walnut Creek Ca. So I was in the truck listening to what everyone around me called "The Big Game" I asked them if they ever heard of the UM / OSU rivalry.. they did not care. This was it for a lot of people in the Bay Area, maybe the only game they watched all year for those teams and the are was littered with grads from both schools.

"Madden is on the field. He wants to know if it's real. They said, 'Yes, get your big butt out of here. ' He does . There's nothing real in the world anymore... "

From about '70 -'74 I was a Raiders fan. Beginning in '75 I became a Bengals fan. Still, as a Raiders fan from the Blanda,. Lamonica, Biletnikoff, Marv Hubbard, Jim Otto, Raymond Chester, Cliff Branch George Atkinson era, I still had feelings for the Raiders when '78 rolled around. Bill King's call of the "Holy Roller" remains one of my favorite calls of all time. ENJOY :

This might be my all time favorite call. The totally homer Auburn announcer losing his mind just kills me every time...

Who can leave out Al Michael's "DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES!?!" when the US Olympic hockey team beats the mighty Soviets?

Gus Johnson with the Jack Sawyer interception. I wonder if Ms. Johnson gets Gus this excited during romantic interludes:

Not a sports call, per se, but you'll get the point. Watford knocks down the winner against Kentucky.
