The #Browns are firing coach Kevin Stefanski, a two-time coach of the year, after two tough seasons in a row.
While Cleveland starts over with a new voice, Stefanski should be a top candidate in several places.

I can't believe that the Brown owner is keeping Berry as GM?? He created the mess, and also gave Watson all that guaranteed monies and a 80.7M salary cap hit in '26 (largest in the NFL).

I am not sold on Berry, at all, however that Watson debacle is squarely on ownership. Haslem pushed for that to happen. Sounds like Berry didn't think it was a good idea. With that said, I think this last draft class saved Berry's job. They pretty much hit on every single pick.

That may be true. But Berry publicly stated he was "on board" with the trade and it was a "team effort". Of course that could simply be him doing PR. I don't understand why owners hire people for jobs, such as GM, and then don't leave then alone and allow them to do their job?
I laugh at owners like Haslam and Jerry Jones lol
I don't think Sanders is their franchise QB, but we'll see.

From the outside looking in, canning Stefanski is a mistake. Its basically making him the fall guy when Cleveland has other problems of dysfunction (ownership and GM).
The Bengals did the same thing with Lou Anarumo and now hes getting head coaching interviews.
The Browns arent too far off though. With as low as they are picking they are out of range for a QB. They would be lucky to get Carnell Tate which would fill a huge need.
Draft O Line and receiver, see if Shedur is the answer and go from there next year. And whatever you do dont hire Deion.

The Browns have two 1st round picks this April. They have their pick, which is #6, and the Jaguars, acquired from the Jacksonville Jaguars in a 2025 draft-day trade.
I don't think Sanders is their franchise QB of the future.

Give Shedur a year, draft an O Line and WR with the two picks they have and then draft a QB next year if Sanders ends up not being the answer. Or sign Daniel Jones or Malik Willis in FA.

Ravens fire John Harbaugh.Supposedly it hinged on him not wanting to move on from Todd Monken.
I can legitimately see Brian Flores in play here. And that would be scary, at least defensively.
According to Schefter Jesse Minter and Anthony Weaver are the top two. They want to follow Mike MacDonald.

On what turned out to be Black Tuesday, Washington fired OC Kliff Kingsbury and DC Joe Whitt. Whitt was a no-brainer because the defense was hot trash, but Kliff was a bit of a surprise. He managed to lead the offense to around a middle of the pack performance by most metrics, mostly with Marcus Mariota and Josh Johnson at QB, and basically one NFL caliber WR in Terry McLaurin, who only played 10 games. Players, including Jayden Daniels, have expressed disappointment in the decision to part ways with KK.
Dan Quinn better get these hires right. Otherwise the next coach they fire will be him.

That said Quinn wants to go back to running the ball which Washington didn't do very well with running backs. Todd Monken is available and would be a good fit there.
I kinda wonder if the Commanders would take Jeremiyah Love. As a Bengals fan I hope so, one less team to take Downs.

They’re calling it a “mutual parting” but it was a firing. He’s still under contract for another year so if they wanted to, they could’ve kept him if he didn’t get a HC job somewhere else.

And there was much rejoicing. Could be the front runner for Harbaugh now that they let McDaniel go. Dolphins owner Stephen Ross was going after Jim Harbaugh a few years ago but he would up staying at Michigan. I don't think he'd fire McDaniel if he wasn't pretty sure about getting a first class replacement. Then again, this is the Dolphins who could screw up a 2 car funeral procession.

Grant Udinski, the 30 year old Jags OC, did 3 hour Zoom interview with Browns yesterday for HC. Browns were reportedly "blown away" according to one source and want to bring him in Monday for in-person interview Monday. He's only been OC with Jags 1 year and didn't call plays. I was hoping we could hang on to him 1 more year.
He's going to be a WonderKid (Ted Lasso). If offered the job, I assume he'd take it, but there are a lot of red flags with that job. His mentor (this year) Liam Coen walked away from Jags job because the situation wasn't right. (And force Khan's hand into fixing it).

Gonna make a prediction:
I look for at least two teams to hire a young (and I mean YOUNG) head coach with an offensive background and pair them with an experienced defensive coordinator.
Think of it as the Sean McVay effect. Doesn't necessarily have to be someone from the Rams coaching tree (although Nate Scheelhaase is a candidate) but the Browns, Bills, and possibly the Steelers are teams to watch here.
Scheelhaase, Grant Udzinski and Davis Webb are names to watch.

Sent from my SM-S936U using TapatalkYeah, I was wondering if they don't go the stopgap free agent route, such as Willis, unless they see a QB they see a somewhat under the radar QB they like enough in the draft to take early, as they do have two first rounders to work with either as picks or to maneuver the draft. Either way, I'd be pretty surprised if they go in to 2026 with Shedeur and Dillon Gabriel as the top two QBs on their roster. It isn't as if they have much draft capital invested in Shedeur or that he even played well with the audition he got last year.

If the Browns were smart they would trade their two first round picks and a 3rd (2nd if they have to) for Fernando Mendoza
They are not smart.

They are not smart.I don't think either of those two offers would get it done. The Raiders (and other teams) are just as QB needy as the Browns.

They are not smart.Or they keep the picks, take Carnell Tate and whatever offensive lineman is there at the Jaguars pick and then take a QB next year.
