The Jags head into 2026 full of vim and vigor after a great 2025 which was 90% triggered by Liam Coen. His declining the Jags HC job (after reportedly Ben Johnson pulling out for same reason) to stay an Asst in TB, led Shad Khan to finally fire Trent Baalke.
Coen becomes HC. The first whiz kid instead of retreads like Khan hired previously
Tony Boselli becomes Executive VP to handle operations
Coen/Boselli hire James Gladstone (whiz kid) to become GM.
Coen hires Grant Udinski (whiz kid) to become OC
Coen Hires Anthony Campinale as DC. Campinale is ancient by Jags standards at 43 but is first time DC and rising star.
Jags go on to 13 win season after winning 4 in 2024.
So where do we stand heading into 2026?
We have no first round pick because we traded it for Travis Hunter. However, we will have Travis Hunter coming back after him playing less than half the season. We have 2 extra 3rd round picks. We will be playing a 1st place schedule instead of a last place schedule. Our cap situation isn't great. We stand 25th in terms of available 2026 cap. Baalke gave a lot of guys big contracts. Gladstone has given big contracts to Van Lanen and Jacobi Myers.
Right now we have to see if we can hang on to our coordinators as both have interviewed for HC jobs.
