I wonder how Miami will even be able to field a team this year. They've already got 28 guys (like Tyreek Hill and Jalen Ramsey) taking up $89mill in dead cap money and now it looks like they're getting rid of Tua and he has a $99mill dead cap number. They're already $6mill over the cap even before figuring in Tua

Interesting decision for them to sign a RB while letting two of their best back 7 players go on defense, but I think I get their logic. They have to get back to some level of explosiveness on offense. Mahomes is great but even he needs weapons. The offense has looked pedestrian the last couple of years.

Ravens backed out of the Maxx Crosby trade. Link to follow.
Ravens Nix Trade For Raiders’ Maxx Crosby (https://www.profootballrumors.com/2026/03/ravens-nix-trade-for-raiders-maxx-crosby#ref=home)
Trades cannot be official until the 2026 league year begins Wednesday, and the Raiders dropped a bombshell about their recent blockbuster. The Maxx Crosby deal is off, according to the Raiders.
The Raiders said in a statement the Ravens have backed out of the trade. Baltimore was to send two first-round picks to Las Vegas for the All-Pro edge rusher. That appears to be off, per the AFC West franchise.
“The Baltimore Ravens have backed out of our trade agreement for Maxx Crosby. We will have no further comment at this time,” the Las Vegas statement reads.

Im guessing that the Ravens realized how much they overpaid so they backed out and are saying it's for medical reasons.

The overpay is subjective but Trey is now a Raven. My prediction is that he plays really well in 2026 but after that we will see a significant drop-off.

The NFL is a money machine. They just constantly print money
The NFL has begun talking to Paramount/CBS Sports about a new deal.
I'm told the current bid-ask spread midpoint is about 50-60% higher, and in return, the NFL would simply lift its current 2029-30 opt out and keep the CBS deal in tact -- meaning, CBS would get 8 more seasons of NFL, ending after 2033-34.

That's a bit of hyperbole. Walker is nowhere near being the best RB in the NFL. He's good, but it's hardly the biggest splash.

The Denver Broncos are trading for Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jaylen Waddle in exchange for first-, third- and fourth-round picks in this year's draft, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday.
The Broncos will also receive a fourth-round pick in return from the Dolphins. The picks heading to Miami include No. 30 overall as well as the 30th selection in each of the third and fourth round.

Ravens are signing former Vanderbilt QB Diego Pavia to a three-year deal, per source. Pavia was supposed to try out this weekend, but the Ravens signed him in advance.

Hard disagree. The Bengals already know about it, but in their ever searching desire to outsmart 29 other very smart NFL teams, they're going to continue with 22 or 31 personnel anyway.
In all seriousness, Tacario Davis is exactly the type of defensive back you'd want if you thought you were going to have to cover a lot of tight ends while keeping an eye on the run game. And if the other team does go with 31, you drop Hill into the slot and move Davis outside.

Verse is still very good. But he's not going to be a one-man wrecking crew like Garret is every time he plays the Bengals.
The Browns keep building a good roster around whoever will be their QB in 2027.

Verse is 5 years younger than Garrett.
It may be a smart(ish) move by the Browns. They have no QB but have competent D that will keep them in more games than they should be. Should they go the also rans rout and hope to get lucky? But they are also lacking in outside skill unless Concepcion and Boston really shine in their first season.
Trading Garrett is pretty much a "we are going to punt 2026 with the hopes of building towards 2027 and 2028." I wonder if Ward is next on the chopping block.
