Worth renting, then? Comes out on DVD soon.

I give it a

It can be kinda slow in places, though. I think it'd be much better in a silent house in the middle of the night with all the lights off as opposed to a middle-of-the-day pause-it-to answer-the-phone-or-throw-a-load-in-the-dryer type of setting.

It's a lot better than Cabin Fever or Wrong Turn, though.

Man, nobody should ever see Cabin Fever, In fact, the people who made that fmil should be drug into the streets and shot. I'm certain the number of people who wasted an hour and a half of their lives viewing that pile of excrement committed to celluloid far outweighs the natural lifespans of each and every person involved in the creation of that worthless piece of detritus. :barf:

Man, I hated that movie.

I need to go buy books and endorse a loan check tomorrow on campus, but the problem is, I don't know if there is any power. I'll suspend my p-word ban here for just a second.

Like I said, I stay out of those p-threads. Sometimes they have some good dialogue, but all too often they descend into a lot of hot air and rhetoric.

But my God, we're talking about the loss of 80 thousand souls (I still can't comprehend the enormity of it) and probably a lot more than that, and they are b*tching about Bush and politics and God knows what ever else kind of stupidity. It is enormously petty and just plain sickening.

I'm outta here tonight. This isn't fun and these aren't the kind of thoughts I want to be having at this hour of the evening.

So true. Unfortunately, I've been much more contentious is my approach lately. But one thing that's weird is that it seems like the majority of new threads and even the posts are from people I don't know. What's happened recently to cause the influx of new people. I'm not against having new people, but they seem to be of the younger, less mature variety than we're used to. And they're posting a lot more than newcomers we've had in the past. Went walking with the spousal unit this AM. Had to work out the skating kinks. Funny muscles were barking at me.

We walked over at Cottell Park. Between the fog and the snow, it was like walking in the inside of a ping pong ball.

All along the way, the power lines were buzzing like crazy. Is that a phenomena of heavy fog?

Going up to Centerville today to take my m-i-l out to lunch. My wife's birthday is the 29th and her mom's is the 30th. Also going to funeral of a mom of a neighbor. She was in apparent good health, spent all Xmas with her family (lots of kids and grandkids), they all left, and then she died in her sleep. Not a bad way to go I suppose.

I've always noticed that power lines buzz in heavy fog, but not sure why.

I wish you were visiting "Warm and Cheerful" under different terms, but have a good time at lunch.

If the fog is really heavy it can cause power outages. The damp, heavy air can cause connectivity problems.

Say you stand by your man
Tell me something I don't understand
You said you love me and that's a fact
Then you left me, said you felt trapped

Well some things you can explain away
But my heartache's in me till this day

CHORUS
Did you stand by me
No, not at all
Did you stand by me
No way

All the times
When we were close
I'll remember these things the most
I see all my dreams come tumbling down
I won't be happy without you around

So all alone I keep the wolves at bay
There is only one thing that I can say

CHORUS

You must explain why this must be
Did you lie when you spoke to me

Did you stand by me
No, not at all

Now I got a job
But it don't pay
I need new clothes
I need somewhere to stay
But without all these things I can do
But without your love I won't make it through

But you don't understand my point of view
I suppose there's nothing I can do

CHORUS

You must explain why this must be
Did you lie when you spoke to me?

Hey Guys..
re-cap of my last 24 hours.
Get to Pr Airport at noon on Wed.
400 people in line in front of me to get to the ticket counter. Plane leaves at 3:30. Plane gets delayed til 3:45. Christine gets to gate at 4:00. Thank God plane got delayed til 5:00 or i would of missed my flight to Philly. Get on plane to Philly. All planes going to Philly sit in the air for 45 minutes because of too much traffic. Plane finally lands at 8:00 Christin'es next planes leaves at 8:40. Plan sits in the terminal for 1 hour because some IDIOT couldn't get the door of the plane open. Christine gets off plane at 9:00. Misses plane to Columbus. No more flights to Columbus for the rest of the night. Christine is traveling with a 85 pound Great Dane. The awesome people at PR internation put my dog Zues on another flight to Columbus going thru Charlotte. No one tells Christine that. Christine is waiting for 4 hours for a dog that isn't in Philly. Instead the poor thing is sitting at Columbus Airport with no where to go and all drugged up. AWESOME. Christine calls Columbus airport and with a lot of arm twisting and a LOT of whinning, they finally put my dog in a kennel. Christine gets a flight going to Columbus at 7:55 in the a.m It's 2:30 by the time she gets to the hotel. after about 3 hours of sleep, she gets back to the Philly airport and gets on the plane at 7:55, we are halfway there and the pilot comes over the PS system and says that the conditions at Columbus are terrible and it isn't safe to land and we are going back to Pennsylvania until the conditions are better. Christine starts to cry. God heard me crying and begging him for the conditions to get better. the pilot comes over the PA and says that we are gonna land in Columbus anyway. THANK GOD. Christine finds her luggage. Finds her Dog. And finally gets home 22 hours later. I HATE US AIR.
But at least I am home and in one piece.

Don't even get me started on US Air.

My wife was in training in Philadelphia last year for 3 weeks. We went to visit her (by we I mean, me, my just turned 5 year old, and my at the time 9 month old) for Mother's Day. Long story short. We were supposed to fly from PHI to Dayton non-stop with our flight leaving at 2pm. We got to the airport at 12pm. Our flight was cancelled at 3:15. They booked us on another flight leaving at 3:45, so we RAN to the other side of the airport to catch it. We missed it. Argued with them for an hour. They put us on another flight at 8. That flight was cancelled at 9:30. They finally got us on a non-US Air flight at 10:15 landing in Columbus at 11:40. They then said we would be given transportation to Dayton International. We got into Columbus at 11:35. No transportation. Finally they rounded up a tour bus to take us (there were 10 of us) to Dayton. The bus had no air conditioning and it was like 110 degrees inside the bus (with a 9 month old who had no sleep--fun). We ended up getting to Dayton International at 3:15am on Monday morning, and I had to be at work at 9am. I called US Air on Monday and really let them have it. They sent me a $75.00 voucher to use on a future flight which expires Jan. 1st. I have not used it and don't plan on doing so...they suck!

I hear ya RL.
And another thing. They are close to going bankrupt..... so when i missed the flight, they gave me a hotel voucher, food vouchers and a taxi voucher. Welll the hotel took the voucher, but no restaurants, and no taxis would take the vouchers cause US air doesn't pay their bills to the providers. So i had to pay my own money. So what i did was, I was SOOOO ANGRY, and when i am angry, i do mean, and irrational things..... must be the woman in me. I went to the only place where they took the food vouchers, and it was a US AIR coffee house, no food, just coffee. It was a 20 dollar voucher, 10 for me and 10 for my sister. We ordered 9 2$ lattes. Took them about 20 minutes during a rush to make. When they were done. We opened them all up... and dumped them in the trash can right in front of them and the ticket counter. and said. "UMMM GOOD COFFEE, thanks for the vouchers guys" then got on my flight. :) made me smile for a whole minute.

We best be doing that! Really, I don't think the Reds FO would know how to handle me if Dunn or Kearns were traded before the season started. ;)

DG, glad you finally made it home okay.

I'd like to jump in and agree that US Airways = bad. :thumbdown

When I lived in Ithaca, US Air was the only airline at the Ithaca airport. So I flew on it, a LOT. I could tell story after story of what I went through. I have had to spend the night in Pittsburgh three times, and in Philly once. US Air once lost my luggage, on Christmas Day. Another time, going from PITT to Ithaca, we were about 100 feet from landing on the runway when the plane started going back up in the air, because it was supposedly too foggy to see the runway. (Yet I could see it out my window? ) The pilot took us all the way back to Pittsburgh.

I know the Pittsburgh airport better than any other airport. Except maybe the Vegas airport. They're probably tied.

Anyway, boo to US Airways. I'm not a big fan of Northwest either, especially when the Detroit airport is involved.

I was leaning toward flying ... because I have miles enough for a free flight. (On US Airways, of course.) But if I can't get a free flight, or a very cheap one, I'll be driving with you. :)

You should be warned, however, that I might not be a very fun driving companion. Do you think you'll make the drive all in one trip?

Not fun how? Like not telling non-stop jokes or not fun from puking from car sickness?

I'm not one of those who thinks there has to be witty conversation the entire trip.

Oh yeah, all in one shot. Since I work 12 hour days, I won't even start to feel tired until the GA/FL state line and then just the scent of the beach (and Adam) will get me the rest of the way there.

No non-stop jokes, no car sickness.

Actually, I'm a very good driving companion when I'm the one who is driving. I get a little antsy sitting in a passenger seat for that long. (Unless I get to drive your car?!?)

But, I am very talkative. Not because I think there has to be witty conversation, I'm just talkative in general. :) I also like to sing in the car, and I'll warn you that any stops we make would have to give me time to have a cigarette. It's awful, but true.
