Do you watch South Park, zombie? That episode also containing the famous "Ming Li (Cartman as a Vietnamese prostitute)" is one of my favorites. They were trying to win a Terrance and Phillip doll and were playing a carnival game that "trys to see how many balls you can get in Jennifer Love Hewitt's mouth". The game is rigged because the balls are bigger than her mouth...(insert joke here) and Kyle calls "shenanigans". Classic.

On that note, there are two things I really wish I would have experienced in the callow days of my misguided youth.

1: For a woman to throw a glass of water in my face at a fancy restaurant because I said something boorish and totally unacceptable, and

2: To have a girl's father give me the whole "If my daughter comes back home with so much as her lipstick smudged, me, you, and Mr. 30-06 are gonna have a talk" talk.

Neither has happened. I feel somewhat... incomplete.

Well, number 2 has never happened to me. But number 1, well, yes. At two very nice restaurants in Syracuse. Two seperate girls.

I've also been slapped four or 10 times, but board rules prevent me from repeating the lines for which those slaps occurred. But I still find them funny, if that counts for anything.

Besides the one on my ankle - which I have yet to see - I got a few scars of my own. I have 2 on my chin. Pretty much right next to each other. The first one I got when I was in high school playing football. We were in practice and I tackled this guy and my chin landed on top of his helmet. Then when I was a sophomore in college I had just gone up to summer school. My younger sister's wedding was less than a week away and I was an usher in it. I had this old car that the lock on the trunk didn't work. So I had a locksmith just take the lock out and I used a screwdriver to open it. It hadn't been opened for years and there were a bunch of tools and jacks in there with the spare tire which was a regular sized tire. So I decided to wash the car and I wanted to wash the trunk out cause it was hella dusty. ;) I started taking the tools out one by one and then thought it would make more sense to put them all on the tire and take them out all at once. I did that but I dropped the tire and it hit the cement and a jack bounced up and nailed me right on the chin. I had to get a few stitches for that. It didn't look too bad for the wedding so my sister wasn't too mad. But I told only a few how it really happened. I told everybody else, "You should have seen the other guy." ;)

If we are gonna talk about scars and broken bones we are gonna need a whole lot more thread. I am the Tim Allen of the emergency room. I can't even begin to name them all right now, but tomorrow, get ready, cause I have stories comin out my arse.

My youngest saw the article in the Enquirer this AM about the purse snatcher and the lady that got killed. She said "this really stinks". I could tell she was stewing over it. After a while, she said "God says we're supposed to love everyone, how am I supposed to love this guy?". I said "let me have a cup of coffee first". We hashed it out. All before 7:00 AM.

I've broken a lot of bones and had a lot of stitches. I guess I'm like Puffy, I was the ER king in my youth. My body looks like it has many zippers on it. My left leg is a 1/2 inch shorter than the other.

I hate coming home from business travel. I'm tired from rental cars, planes, and conference rooms. My wife is tired from me not being home and she having the shoulder the entire burden. We both look each other and say "I need a break". Neither of us get one. We both get cranky.

I've done this enough now to know just to keep my mouth shut and say "what needs to be done?". I go do a bunch of stuff and try very hard not to be resentful. I hate being a grownup sometimes.

Later, I say "how about a glass of wine?". We sit at the counter. Neither of us drink much so one glass gets us a little goofy. She has a good cry. I talk about work. We tell each other "don't worry, I still love you". We hug and smooch a little. The kids all go "eeewwwwww". We go to bed.......and go to sleep...

I'm sorry!!! I didn't realize I was such a wet blanket.

Two hunters are out in the woods when one of them collapses. He doesn't seem to be breathing and his eyes are glazed. The other man pulls out his phone and calls emergency services and gasps to the operator: "My friend is dead! What can I do?"

The operator in a calm, soothing voice replies: "Take it easy. I can help. First, let's make sure he's dead." There is a silence, then a shot is heard.

Back on the phone, the hunter says, "OK, now what?"

Back on the phone, the hunter says, "OK, now what?" :MandJ: :MandJ: :MandJ:

I just got some pics back from the last game I went to... check out that sunburn, baby!
You gotta watch out for baseball, beer, and brilliant sun.

I went to a Memorial Day doubleheader against the Dodgers back in the day, probably 1978-80 era (to you young whippersnappers, they used to actually play 2 games for the price of one, imagine that  ). First game started at 1:15. That was also when you could buy 64 oz. tubs of Hudepohl for around $3.

I started in on the tub 'o beers. Many tub o' beers. Like, biblical quantities of beer. I took off my shirt about the middle of the first game. It was the end of May and I hadn't gotten a lot of sun yet. I don't even remember the second game. From what I gather, my buddies just put me in a seat and left me there to slowly broil in the sun. I probably was on TV for an alcohol abuse ad.

Somebody drove me home and dumped me inside my front door. I woke up about 3 in the morning with the most godawful hangover and sunburn I've ever had in my life. Like my skull had split open and my brains were on the floor. Like the little man had crawled down my throat and taken a dump. Like skin cancer sun poisoning kind of sunburn. I was just in swell shape.

Took a cold shower. Lathered up with Solarcaine. Took bufferin. Drank ice water. Ice water came back up. Laid around and moaned and shivered. Swore to Jesus Christ Almighty I'd never drink again.

I was in terrible shape for a couple days with the sunburn. Being the idiot I was at the time and ashamed of my idiot behavior, I didn't go to the doctor. I just suffered. I must have peeled layers of skin off my shoulders and back. At least I had some hair then so my head didn't get cooked. It was just a wonderful time.

So, beware.

I know a guy who got really drunk one night and came home and went to bed. He said that while he was laying there, his cat was pestering him to feed it because he was gone all day. The next morning he awoke and went into the kitchen and found an empty cat food tin with a spoon in it that had speghetti sauce all over the tin and spoon. He went to the bathroom and saw in the mirror that he had dried matted speghetti sauce and cat food in his chest hairs. He swears he doesn't remember what happened, but I think he does, he just doesn't want to face it.
