BTW TC, since I have been sick for about 6 weeks now, I gave mr creek permission to marry you when I die. But as I told him, you can't smoke around creek jr. Or I will haunt you.

I wouldn't do that. Come to think of it, my friend's puppy love interest is a lot like Mr. Creek.

BTW, it will get better! The creeping crud is going through work right now. Everyone's been sick. I can't believe I've ducked it thusfar. I was going to get a flu shot, but with the shortage, I wasn't sure if I should. I'd feel bad getting it, if others couldn't. You know?

I'll tell you what, make you a deal - try to score some opening day tix through them; if I get 'em you can have one, and vice-versa.

Obviously I care nothing about philanthropy, just about getting OD tickets.

I'm shameless.

If either of you join and get OD tickets and I don't get OD tickets ... well, I will hunt either or both of you down, and it won't be pretty.

So, a week or two ago I bought a book at B&N called "Baseball Bafflers." It was on the clearance rack for about $5. Has trivia, funny moments, etc.

Anyway, I've read the whole thing. And the copy editing in it is *awful*. They have so many mistakes I've lost count. Things like referring to Ken Griffey when they mean Ken Griffey Jr., and vice versa. People's names spelled wrong. Words spelled wrong -- like instead of "put out," they have "pu tout." The index doesn't match up with the book. It drove me CRAZY.

I'm very tempted to go back through it, mark it all up, and send it back to the publisher. They should be embarrassed.

The textbook I had for a digital circuit class at Arizona had pages of errata, mostly 1's where they should have 0's or vice versa. Quite a challenge.

So gang I'm off to have my follow up MRI done on my right shoulder.

Very nervous, if the results come back that it's still torn, that means a few weeks of physical therapy before I have surgery, meaning I'm done w/ any rotation activities(the only kind I do) for 3-5 months at the earliest.

Played fetch with the dog in my backyard last night, decided to try overhand with my right arm, and it felt stiff as could be. Don't know what that means, but I hope it's positive.

Keep your fingers crossed - I'm off to go down some banana flavored chalk and have weird pictures taken of me.

good luck, jm. hope you'll be out there "swinging" again really soon.

I'm hella cool like that. Actually 4am is in my twilight zone of sorts. I usually get tired around 3am. If I went to bed now, I'd get about 2 hours of sleep...which would make me tired all day. I just noticed that there is like a sour milk smell in my house and its driving me hella crazy because I can't figure out where its coming from. 1 year olds are very good at hiding sippy cups.

yea, its really bothering me now. I've looked in all the tricky places and nothing. The smell is the strongest in the middle of the room...with nothing around. Man, I hope it isn't spilled milk in the carpet, or I'll have to add steam cleaning to my chore list.

Puffy, I think this is the week that Kurt Warner has to show that he can win a game for the G-Men. Tiki has helped him a bunch so far, but I think Dallas holds him in check this week. Warner's gonna have to win this one through the air.

Can you give me a 1 post synopsis of what's happened so far. Who's looked good (pitching/offense). Who has been disappointingly bad?

Red Sox swept the Angels. Angels' defense did not help them in the series. Ortiz had the game-winning HR today in the 10th inning.

Twins lost today, giving the Yankees a 2-1 lead in the series. Kevin Brown pitched pretty well. Santana did good in Game 1 and is pitching again tomorrow.

Cardinals are up 2-0 over the Dodgers. It's Lima time for L.A. tomorrow; my guess is Cards sweep 'em. Their offense has been off the wall. Like 5 homers a game.

Houston and Braves ... kind of boring, in my opinion. Reitsma gave up a HR the other day. ;) I think they're tied at a game each. Clemens will start Game 4; he pitched well in Game 1.

He can do it. The Cowboys only have one corner and no one who can cover Shockey. If they can pass then it opens up lanes for Tiki. I just hope the D can hold Testaverde under 300 - sounds easy, but he's done it twice in three games this year.

I was listening to Fox Sports Radio this morning and the host said something really interesting; everybody hates the Yankees because they spend so much money and buy their pennants, right? But the thing is, if you ignore payroll and just look at some of the players they have: A-Rod, Bernie, Jeter... these are some hella-good players with a real love for the game. If you can put aside all the Steinbrenner crap, how could you not love the Yankees?

To which I say: their fans are a bunch of superiority-complex-havin bandwagoners. A bunch of punks, in other words. ;)

Just let me give a shout-out to Ms. RosieRed for allowing me to feel all 'I knew that' when I saw the post.

TeamMorris! I'm banning your cat from the 2nd floor! That little cuss just knocked a screen out again. One of these days, it's going to fall from a window.

Yes Puffy, I read them all.

My resume says I know Phenomenology relating to Thermal and SAR Imagery. And I do.

I think TC is right about where the milk smell was at RL's house.

Salami and pumpkin pie for breakfast. No ketsup.

I'm going to brave the rain and head to the grocery in a few minutes. I need lunch food for the week. The thing about the new office buildong ... very inconvenient for lunch.

We are REQUIRED to take a full hour for lunch ... the lunchroom isn't finished yet ... only one small table and not enough chairs. A coffee shop and an Italian restaurant in the bldg, but that's too pricey and rich for every day.

Don't want to take my car out of the garage in the middle of the day, and the only places to eat close by are Subway and Wendy's. Not fond of either. (I don't like the bread at Subway.)

There is a grocery store nearby. I'll have to check out the walk next week. I'll go nuts if I can't get a bit of fresh air during the middle of the day at least once in a while. So far, I haven't left the bldg until quitting time.

When I think healthy breakfast, I think salami and pumpkin pie.

Who am I kdding; I plan on hitting McDonalds for some sausage egg mcmuffins on the way to LensCrafters.

I can't stand McD's food, save for their mcmuffins. I think they should sell them all day.

Sandy, you would go nuts at my job. No windows and pretty much the only time we leave our room during the 12 hours we are there is to go to the bathroom. Now that it's getting close to winter it's dark when I go into the building and dark when I leave. But I've worked in this environment for a lot of years now (that might explain some things about me :p: ) so I am use to it.

Red Sox swept the Angels. Angels' defense did not help them in the series. Ortiz had the game-winning HR today in the 10th inning.

Twins lost today, giving the Yankees a 2-1 lead in the series. Kevin Brown pitched hella well. Santana did hella good in Game 1 and is pitching again tomorrow.

Cardinals are up 2-0 over the Dodgers. It's Lima time for L.A. tomorrow; my guess is Cards sweep 'em. Their offense has been hella off the wall. Like 5 homers a game.

Houston and Braves ... hella boring, in my opinion. Reitsma gave up a HR the other day. ;) I think they're tied at a game each. Clemens will start Game 4; he pitched hella well in Game 1. RAWK!
I fixed Rosie's post for her. ;)

An early morning trivia: What team was Notre Dame playing against in the game that Rudy could finally play in?
Georgia Tech. I like to watch that movie just to see Rudy's brother Bitter Frank. That dude had some serious issues. Of course Rudy was a little cuckoo himself but he wasn't bitter.

Maybe ... but I think part of my problem is I've gotten used to taking a walk on my lunch hour, and finding a place to read. Anything to keep my mind active. No such place in my building. And I'm incredibly bored.

The lunchroom conversation is dominated by office gossip, which I absolutely hate and want NO PART OF. There's one person in there who does nothing but complain and put other people down.

If I had something to keep my mind occupied, it wouldn't be so bad.

The other day, we had workmen still pounding away in the office, the big boss was screaming at people because they weren't where he thought they should be (even if they had a good reason), and my immediate boss got chewed out because we were away from our desks making copies and faxing and stuff. We are now chained to our desks no matter what. We pass stuff to each other over the walls of our cubicles.

And the phones weren't ringing, it was at most 50 degrees in the building, I literally was shivering and had goose bumps for most of the day. And I had literally NOTHING to do. I sat with my arms folded, staring at my computer with only 5 short phone calls in 5 hours one afternoon.

I know what it's like to never see the sun, and it can get you down. But I'd rather be able to work through lunch or take a much shorter break, never see the sun, if I'd feel like I had accomplished something that day.

You do important work. What I do is meaningless, even to the company I work for.

Looks like a busy night in here last night. Did we all have fun???

Dinner with the chicks was fun. God almighty, 13 yr. old girls talk a lot. Came home to 10 of my son's friends in the basement having a LAN party. Computers everywhere. Pizza, pop, and raging 16 yr. old hormones. Had to air out the basement when they left.0

Went for my 6 mo. checkup this AM. All is well. And I didn't get the "glove". Next time is the annual physical thoughand out will come the K-Y.

Youngest daughter's soccer team won 5-0 this AM. Wooo!!!

Off the the OSU-Wisconsin game. I don't have a good feeling about this game. OSU's offense can't move the ball and Wisconsin's defense is very good.

Watch for me in the stands, I'm the one wearing red.
