I'd rather be Cash (Kurt Russell's character)-he winds up with Teri Hatcher. ;)

Robert Morris...-The Executioner-...You are loyal and brave(to a fault) but you are also a psychotic killing-machine. Seek professional help NOW! ;-)

Tried hard to get a result of Tanner, but I'm JAJ... just another Jed.

Better than being Tom Eckert, I suppose. He's spending his days inside that chain link fence watching propaganda films.

C'mon, Rojo. "Red Dawn" was THE BEST "Russians-invade-America-but-empowered-teens-fight-back-only-to-discover-war-is-hell" movie of the 1980's.

Where else can you get immortal lines like "Rub a butt on him" and

"WOLVERINES!!!!"

BTW - I am Jed, the leader.

It appears that you are unaware of some documents discovered by an elite CIA unit* following the fall of the Soviet Union. It has been determined from these top secret documents that Soviet "hardliners" were preparing to invade the United States. However, the release of "Red Dawn" and the revelation that Soviet assault troops were no match for American high school students shook the Kremlin and gave an opening to Gorbachev. Within a few years of the release of "Red Dawn" the Berlin Wall fell and the Soviet Union collapsed. This movie marked the turning point of the Cold War.
*This elite CIA unit later determined that Iraq possessed WMD before members of the unit retired from the service, gaining employment in the private sector doing investigative work for CBS and Dan Rather during the 2004 American presidential elections.

I know I am! This movie made me decide that if any commie (or terrorist) nation ever invades us, I am seeking refuge in the hills with my buddies, take my arsenal of an AK-47 (yes I own one!), 30 cal. carbine, 762.54 Mosin Nagant, .38, 12 gauge, and my knives, use my hunting skills to live off the land, and engage old fashion guerrilla warfare against the invaders.

In college I took a course entitled Politics in Film. Our final paper was pick any three movies and watch them and write a paper about their politcal ramifications.

I chose Hoosiers, Rocky and Red Dawn and wrote about the underdog philosophy and how it is perpetrated in film and onto our political process.

I got a A-

I've always been intrigued with this movie but never really watched it till lately. Even then I only watched part of it.
