This team won't score more than two runs very often if Miley puts this same lineup out there consistently. This has been miserable.

Paul L singles...fly ball... 1 out... Paul L. steals 2B as Valentine somehow fell asleep there... runner at 2B, 1 out.

Wow, manufacturing runs still works? I remember when the Reds played get'em on over and in. It seems like they won alot more back then.

I look forward to Larue passing balls and Valentin hogging the ball this season.

Not batting Dunn and Pena 3rd and 4th should be cause to be shot. Serve the Reds right if the game ends with Dunn on deck and Pena in the hole

Jiminez has got to be out of the lineup. It's getting very tiresome watching him and his terrible plate appearances. I've never seen a guy get less hard outs in my life than him.

Who thinks Miley will sit Dunn tomorrow against Willis? I think he will. It would be a stupid thing to do, but it is Miley. Ya never know.

I hope we have some radical lineup changes tomorrow, but I wouldn't count on it.

The next thing we know... Miley will be calling Willis the "goofy left-hander" and will sit over half of the starters tomorrow. ;)

Junior is SO weak. It's too bad that Miley still thinks that Junior is a 20 year old All-Star hitter.

Here is the lineup I would use:

Freel
Dunn
Pena
Kearns/Griffey
Randa
Casey
LaRue
Lopez/Aurilia

So what time does fielding practice start tomorrow? I mean we have given up 2 or 3 cheap runs up to the other team the last 3 days, our offense is struggling but giving up cheap runs just makes it worse. Other than Merker tonight, the outfield defense has been killing us.

No it should be because Mercker threw the ball about 10 feet from 1st base.

Speaking of Griffey...ESPN just showed about four our five of his recent strikeouts prior to a commerical on Baseball Tonight.

Not seeing the play myself I can't be sure but it seems the consensus was that Griffey misplayed Castillo's triple

The game was lost by the lineup construction.

The problem with Casey right now, is he isn't hitting with any power. When he slumps, this is Sean's way of doing it. Add to that a ineffective Griffey,Jimenez and Kearns, the Reds O is gasping for air. Sounds like Sean needs to have a fireside chat with the team.

The game was lost by the lineup construction. That didn't help but allowing a matchup leading off the 7th where a batter is hitting .800 against a pitcher is criminal. Also Miley allowed JV to take the most important AB of the game for the Reds.

Yep, I bet Lenny Harris gets a little fish sticker to put on his helmet.

Letting Lenny Harris dictate your pitching moves is like letting a krishna man your grill on the 4th of July.

Just plain wrong.

Dude, Harang hardly pitched his butt off. He was getting rocked by Gonzalez and Burnett before the end of the 6th and was pitching behind in the count since the 2nd inning. He was fortunate the Marlins didn't pummel him.

Griffey is done. I've given him the benefit of the doubt that he is still recovering, but if that is the case, he should not be playing every day. Time for the Reds manager to quit worrying about who is getting paid what, and who has a reputation and who doesn't, and attempt to put his best eight bats in the lineup and let the other stiffs fight for ABs. I was sick all night seeing Griffey go through those horrible at bats knowing Austin Kearns is sitting on the bench collecting dust while the real statue is playing. Ryan Freel has delivered every time they've called on him, let Jimenez work out of his slump in BP or down in the lineup. Burnett was very beatable in the early going, but that top of the order could do nothing to make it happen.

Time to quit being the nice organization and start cutting loose folks who don't earn their keep, or sit the guy on the bench regardless of his salary when he doesn't have it anymore. Nice organizations will have a lot of hangers on. Winning organizations cut loose guys with bad contracts and try to figure how not to write bad contracts, not keep on running guys out there based on the size of their paycheck (see Griffey, Graves).
