Gullet's ability to get the Reds pitcher to lower their breaking balls, seems non-exsistant. That homer was totally made from a hanging curve. Best reason to fire Don is that example.

You know the difference in the Brewers broadcast of a game and how the Reds on FSO do it? They actually talk about the Brewers, talk about the good things the home team does and shows the homeruns 11 times.

I'll bet over on FSO, George has already told the fans about Puljos' homerun and how much Overbay reminds him of Big Mac...

Both. This is getting really depressing. I'm beginning to realize that Claussen isn't ever going to be very good. i'm beginning to think 2005 will be just like 2004. Boy do I hope I'm wrong. But lots of signs that this isn't a good baseball team.

Yes, he's given up 1 earned run in his last 10 1/3 innings. For a Reds pitcher, that just not good enough.

I really think it's a matter of attitude. We're conditioned by the Cincinnati and national media to think they are no good. When you spend the whole telecast talking about how good the other team is while not mentioning your own team at all, it leave a bad taste in my mouth.

This game will end with the most impotent 1-2-3 batters in the business.

The really funny thing is I heard all this whining about all the tough pitching the Reds have faced, we are on the way to losing two games to that Dempster and Glover started

Reds go down 1-2-3.

Kearns got ahead 2-0, chased ball 3, took a ball inside, foul tip, and then grounded out to Hardy.

Our only hope is a Dunn HR in the 9th.

Not like they didn't kill Dempster in that game. He left with a 6-2 defecit.

Sorry...but that says nothing about our ability to hit scrap...it says everything you need to know about our atrocious pitching.

Any team that walks 8 times (Brewers) and only scores on 2 HR's is mighty impotent as well.

No argument. They should have a ton of runs too. But it doesn't say a thing about how atrocious Jimenez, Casey, and to a lesser extent Griffey have been for a month.

Aurilia taketh away; why didn't he giveth?

Grande is what he is--wrinkles his nose at the thought of sushi, calls his mother way too often, eats a lot of processed meats on Wonder with mayo and iceberg lettuce; in short, Ned Flanders without the pecs.

We all can see yet the Reds can't
- Why is RA getting 75% of the PT
- Why is DJ leading off and playing 2nd
- Why is Casey batting 3rd
- Why does Miley seem to make at least one poor decision a game. He always seems to be waiting for that big situation in the 9th that doesn't materialize

Because baseball is a marathon, not a sprint.

And on a side note, I note that "Back to the Future" just came on TBS as the game ended. With an Intro song by Hewey Lewis and the News, it conjures up memories of "American Pyscho". Too bad some of these posters don't know Patrick Bateman.............

But you see many coming back from 3rd place. The Cards are easily the best team in division, the Reds are now 5.5 games back and have a pitching staff with more holes than swiss cheese. I see no reason for optimisim that they can either catch them or even compete with them

The Reds deserve to lose when you get outmanaged every gameI'm reading this Saturday AM, and it is on the record that I will pile on Miley when deserved, but what decisions did he botch last night? Letting Cruz hit? That's about the only decision there was to make that I can recall.

I didn't like Aurilia starting, though. I guess Felipe can't even hit the lineup after a Grand Slam. He is getting the shaft, IMO.
