Jason Marquis has developed into a fine pitcher. Not a number 1, but maybe a number 2 or at the very least a top notch number 3. A lot of people wanted to trade for him when he was with the Braves - - does anyone believe that if that happened that he'd be the same "rising" pitcher that he has become?

I think Aaron Harang is turning into a fine pitcher too. He's not on Marquis' level by any means, but he is developing very nicely.

I disagree. Aaron Harang is a number 5 starter. Thats fine, but thats all I ever see him as. He can't go more than 6, had just enough stuff for one time through the lineup, but each successive time through gets easier to pick up.

Thats a typical 5 starter, but any more, I just don't see it.

I'm not sure about the decision to run Freel in front of Junior in that inning. The combo of Marquis/Molina is tough to run on to begin with. Down two runs and with Junior swinging the bat the way he is, I just have a hard time running and risking an out in that situation.

Turns out Junior singled and the inning could be still going.

Alittle bit of both. He kinda got turned around off the bat and it was a line drive so he had to turn and wound up having to catch it somewhat Willie Mays style. But even if he had caught it routinely, the runner would have gone to third anyway. It was just a few steps from the warning track.

I think he looked very good tonight. He pounded the hitters in all night and kept the ball down most of the time.

Oh yeah, he's left handed, so he can only be used against left handers.
