I dispise Dave Miley. Kearns has homered in two straight games and sits tonight?

RosieRed

I can't get over this. Why would you sit Kearns, and why would you not play Lopez at SS?

Thanks for the three hits yesterday Jimenez, hope you weren't getting comfortable at the plate.

Most of the reasons behind my absence from RedsZone and the games have been due to new employment.

The team has made it real easy on me lately. I wish they would stop that. I would much rather have them make my life more difficult by playing well, and have my intrest peaked. It just gets real hard to be excited about lineups like the one above. :(

Mike Edwards actually spent some time in the Reds organization in 2002 and 2003. Played at Chattanooga and Louisville. Was in the Oakland organization last year.

Freel at 2B

Surely there is a reason other than Rich being a veteran. Everyone knows he is over the hill (now watch, he's hit three dingers and drive in 10 runs).

And what does Dave have against Austin? His hair?

Weaver is a FB pitcher so it only makes sense to put in Freel over him... right?

Ok..... so that's why Aurilia's in right?

because he's a FB hitter... I mean it's not Derek Lowe throwing for the Reds tonight, Rich's sure hands aren't needed are they?

Has to be the FB hitting.

Yeah. Freel averages nearly 4.00 Pitches per AB and has definitely shown the propensity to work a walk. If Freel were a prolific bunter, then fine...use it. But he's not.

And I think you're right about Lopez. I'm just sayin' that Miley's got him in the 2-slot for a reason and it isn't his "bat handling". I have virtually no doubt that the current wacky lineups we're seeing is a forced effort to get more speed at the top. Nothing else.
